VToodler- recently I was in your predicatment (I had gained about 30 lbs) and I was so depressed! Its really hard to get into a hardcore workout routine on your own- I started by attending one hour group fitness classes (this helps you build up your form, technique & endurance). You should take a variety of classes- yoga, weight lifthing, kick boxing. I have always been a runner- but quit for a really long time and it was sooo hard to get back into- but six months later I am five lbs from my goal and running five miles four times a week!
