Red Blemish on Face for past year

Hi

Hopefully somebody can advise me, I have a blemish on my cheek for the last year, not sure if it occurred after an acne spot, but it is not fading and I think it may be even getting more noticeable. The blemish is below the surface of the skin, it is not sore or itchy. I have tried Tea Tree Blemish stick but it had no effect, pls see the pics, I would really welcome any advice...

Looks like it may have been from a pimple. I've had some spots that didn't clear for more than a year.

Sometimes acne can leave a slight scar that looks pink like that. It shouldn't be getting worse, though. If it is one of those little scars, they can take up to a year to fade like JADE said. If the spot does get worse, or starts turning any funny colors, go get it looked at. Be sure you are using a light sunscreen everyday, as UV exposure can sometimes aggravate or darken spots on the skin.

I highly doubt that's a blemish. It looks like broken capilaries. That won't go away unless you laser them away. Talk to a cosmetic surgeon if it really bothers you. Try to remember if you did have a blemish there and you squeezed too hard thus breaking the veins.

You could try vasculese at the spa, it's a cheaper alternative, but it may not work.
