Hello everybody,

I am 26.
I had very bad pimples since 13, that remained till last year.
I had done every possible treatment but just couldn't go ...
From this January, it seems to have stopped

The problem now I am facing is ACNE SCARS
I am left with really bad , deep scars (becoz I used to squeeze pimples, don ask me why i was doing that! I am also asking to my self now )

Somebody suggested me to have any one of the following treatment:

1) Micro Needling

2) Fraxel Laser

which one should I go for, considering I am having very deep acne scars ??

What color is your skin? Fraxel laser isn't recommended for tanned to black skin. I'd start out light and go with Microdermabrasion and then go from there. Dermabrasion is very invasive but it may be your best choice.

If you are lookng at home remedies, you can try lemon or aloe vera. They are both good for skin renewal. Otherwise, you can try vitamin E .

Hi! These treatments are different approaches, and their usefulness depends on your condition.
The first one, micro needling, is a simple mechanical procedure: under local anaesthesia, a roller covered with small pins is used on your skin. The small wounds it causes promote tissue regeneration, softening your skin's texture and appearance. Fraxel laser, on the other hand, burns small portions of damaged tissues, also encouraging the healing abilities of your skin.
Micro needling is, of course, a cheaper and quicker procedure, but both treatments will require more than one session to achieve optimal results. To accelerate the process, you can use natural treatment products to reinforce the skin regeneration; and, of course, you must follow an adequate diet to give your skin all the nutrients it needs.

You got some good advice in this thread. I'd also recommend maybe starting with some microdermabrasion treatments (either at home or done by a professional) before you jump into Micro Needling or Fraxel. There are also some skin peels that may help. Again, these can be done at home (if you know what you're doing) or by a professional.
