Rep Power: 4 ![]() | How's the skin care products I am using?
Hi. How's the skin care products I am using? I use Dermalogica as an Anti-Wrinkle cream. In addition, I sometimes Apobase for my face and my hands. My skin is pretty white. My gender is male and I'm 19 years old. My diet is healthy. I believe I have normal skin neither very thin or very thick. It would be nice if someone recomended some other products I might benefit from too. Thanks for answering .

I'm not familiar with the products you mention. I can recommend using a few drops of avocado/jojoba/almond or camellia oils on clean damp skin as an inexpensive moisture treatment. The very best thing you can do is use a sunblock every single day especially around the eyes as the most damage you will have to your skin is from the sun. Clinique also has a skincare range for men that you might want to look at but I'm not sure if you want an all natural skincare.

Some of the Dermalogica products have parabens in them. There is a big controversy with parabens POSSIBLY being linked to cancer. Unfortunately, A LOT of products we all use on a daily basis could have parabens in them. I'm an Arbonne Independent Consultant and our skin care lines do not have parabens in them. Neither does our sunscreen. Also, some Dermalogica products are NOT pH correct, which is not safe for your skin. Being pH correct is much different than being pH balanced. Our skin has a natural pH of about 5.5, slightly acidic. We have an acid mantle layer on your skin to help protect against bacteria and infection. Products that are "pH balanced" have a pH of about 7.5, more alkaline. The only thing pH balanced products do is strip the acid mantle layer, now making you susceptible to bacteria and infection. ALL of Arbonne's products are pH correct, not disrupting that acid mantle layer. Anyway, check the ingredients on your container and see if it contains methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben or butylparaben. Hopefully not. Less common parabens include isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben and benzylparaben. Hope this helps. |

I forgot about the French company Decleor they have a range of men's skincare all natural based. I've used Decleor in the past and really liked it, it's available online or in Sephora if you have one near you and they are usually pretty good about handing out samples but you have to ask, you may be able to find it in some department stores. I can highly recommend this brand of skincare.

I tried some Vichy products when I lived in europe and they were OK but I did not purchase anything more than once, I think it's part of L'Oreal now. Interesting though when I looked up Vichy I could not find a list of ingredients which I thought was a must. I would suggest that you read about different ingredients and then have a look at the brands you are thinking of trying and see what they contain.

As you might know that the skincare market for men's is increasing ... so a lot of men grooming products are launched! I think Loreal has a good range of products ... my boyfriend is using some of the products and he is very positive about it. |
