Under eye vs Upper cheek

Hello,

I am 23 and have really began to start noticing crows feet within the last couple months. Partly because of some extreme August sun damage and stress. Regardless..

My wrinkles really aren't right under my eyes but where the cheek bone meets the eye. They are fairly shallow laugh lines.

I tried a couple weeks of ROC's retin-a eye cream and broke out just below my eye wear the wrinkles were.. obviously where I applied.

QUESTION:

Is it going to be more effective for me to use some sort of chemical peel like glycolic acid since technically it isn't my eyes.. but crows feet around them?

I have Alpha Hydrox 12% souffle which seems a lil effective but if I can go to the derm and get a stronger peel done I would.
