I was very scared the first time but now I would not go without. The great thing is it is very suttle and no one is the wiser. The cost is a little high being $400-$500 but mine lasts for about 6-7 months so I budget for it. I am looking at another one that is suppose to last longer, I will have to find the name and let you know.
Last time I had Restylane injected was in 2006. LOVEEEEEEEEE that stuff. Mine lasted nearly 14 months before I could tell it was completely gone. I sooooo want more!!!!!

What is your current body weight? What I notice in older people is that the higher their body fat percentage the more fat gravity has to yank down to the earth. If you keep yourself at a healthy BMI it should help to reduce this somewhat. Also collagen production is key so you will want to begin either a retinoid (forget retinol, there is no scientific research there) like Retin-A micro or topical niacinamide, or both. And of course sunblock.

I'll be curious to see what the cost will be for it in the UK. We are paying off bills to get 99% debt free by next March, so none before I leave the US. I want to plump my NL folds and have some put in my lips like I did before- just a tad. I had it in the corners of my mouth, just a bit in the center of my lower lip, 2 places in my upper lip and all around the edges of my lips. It was a very subtle effect in my lips and nobody-not even my husband- noticed! lol I did!! MUAH, Restylane! I've noticed over the past few months that my NL folds are not as deep. Something is working!

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

One of my aunt uses eye masks a few times a week but since they're so expensive she would use the mask on her nasal labial fold lines after and it works! Actually any products she uses to reduce eye wrinkles she also uses on her nasal labial fold lines! By the way I also suspect that sleeping on your side at night or putting your hand on your chin don't do much good to those lines.

Good luck.

I have never used it in my lips before. I had a little injected in a little line I have on my upper lip, but nothing to make my lips bigger. I have used it in my NL folds, that is pretty much it. Me too, for whatever reason my folds are not nearly as deep as before. I have an appt on Dec 10th, for restylane and botox, kinda getting excited-

Very Nervous, but would LOVE to try it.. Seems like all the products we "TRY" and see no results; we could afford MANY treatments, right?

Fairy Girl if you arent too scared of jabs then dermal fillers might be an idea as they fill up the creases instantly and last 6-12 months. i havent tried them but sometimes i get tempted to! but friends who have swear by them. worth a shot.

but as you will see there are so many different options you have to try a few and stick with them for a while before finding the right thing for you.

good luck and keep us posted with your regimen.
hallo!
I laugh a lot, and probably have just the face that marks in that area, so my nasal-labial fold lines were/are really something!
I had my first dermal filler at 30, and have to say it was AMAZING!!!!
Fortunately (natural-wise & in case your dermatologist overdoes it) and unfortunately (budget-wise) it's a temporary solution: from 2 to 6 months, maybe over? depending on the product & you... I cannot wait to be able to afford it again!

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

No cream is going to take away you nasal labial folds, ever. The structure beneath your skin is deteriorating. Most fillers will only offer a very temporary solution. For me, the best thing looks like Scultra, because it sets down a matrix for your own cells to grow into. The results are much more long lasting. The ther option worth combining are the muscle strenghening facial systems like the caci one mentioned. The muscle is what the skin rests on and contiues to weaken with age. Good luck!

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

If you sleep on your back instead of your side or stomach, do exercises, massage, exfoliate and use a retinoid the lines and folds should lessen. Mine have.

If that doesn't work, fillers are good, as everyone has stated. I've never used them on my NL lines.
