Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

I have honestly tried for so many years to stop. I have even had the dentist file my teeth, hoping that would help. Well all that did was make me have to press on my cheek to get to it-

I bite my lower lip, and only on the left side. Isn't it weird the habits we will come up with? Hey, anythings better than smoking, drinking and gambling-

O but drinking Diet Pepsi is my one secret vice!!

Now they say that we get "bottle mouth" from drinking out of the bottle, before it was the straws....sheesh!

OH I totally forgot about you and that Diet pepsi bottle!!! Fawnie, now that SHOULD be your New Years Resolution!! You and my DH both!!!! I never drink soda, only when I eat mexican food- or go to the movies-

Do you like diet coke?? I can't stand it, but I do like diet pepsi. They say you either like one or the other but rarely both.

The marionette lines I'm talking about are the ones that go from the outer edge of your lips down to the edge of your chin...not the ones that go from the edge of your nose to your mouth...of course I have some of those too!!! Lucky me!!

Restylane is magic for marionette lines. It's also great for NL folds, hollows under the eyes, eye lifts, cheeks, world peace and world poverty. (OK well maybe not the last 2. Then again it does wonders for my mood so I suggest all world leaders have few shots of it). Seriously however the stuff is magic as several of the posters here attest to. Your marionette lines will be gone the moment the injections are over. My injections last for at least 9 months but I am one of the lucky ones.

LOL I agree! Every time I had Restylane injections it lasted over a year before I could notice that it was gone. I felt very lucky!! Especially when I had 3 vials injected in various places on my face in 2006- nearly $1500!! Wish it was cheaper or I could buy it and inject it myself!

hi. I'm new to this. but I did a bit of a research and I think tinge is talking about this thing called tua viso. its basically a machine (looks kind of like a phone) that with a help of electric currant and water mimics facial exercises. you just tauch it on your face, set the desired strength and it does the work for you. I wanted to order one but they said its not recommended for pregnant women, so I will have to wait. I read a bit about it. it won the award and some girls seem to really like it!

Hi,

I'm 40 and have just been filling the folds in for the last 4-5 years. I forget they are even a problem for me until.... oops! ... It's time for another filler! Juviderm Ultra Plus works and lasts up to a year for me.

Best of luck to you,

Shlovies

Apparently there is a new filler out that lasts for 2 years. My doctor mentioned it when I was getting my Botox done. How exciting!

I have found GREAT results with the C-esta (vitamin C) from Jan Marini. Also, check out radiancy.com. They have a professional machine called the FSD that I have found to give INSTANT lifting of the skin

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

Be careful with new fillers. I had Evolence right before they decided not to manufacturer it anymore. I wanted Restylane but the doctor pushed the Evolence. It was for a frown line I had between the brows.

Anyway, while if did make the line look better, I could feel it. Also I wonder if the doctor pushed it to use it up before the news came out that it was no longer being made. Going forward, if I was to have a filler again, I would use the Restylane knowing what I know.

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

Hi I have tried loads of things through the years. Im 43, having had botox for the past 10 yrs on my forehead and eyes. Last year I wanted to have something to lift my jowls and had fillers put in. What a difference, brill. A couple of years ago I had fillers injected into my cheeks and this also really lifted my jowls, did hurt. The only thing I would say is that make sure you get someone who knows exactly what they are doing. Hope this helps.

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

Hi all,
I am new here and have been reading all i can!!

I wanted to share my experience with Juviderm and Botox...
I have tried to attach my photo, i hope that it works...
I just had 2 syringes of Juviderm on my NL Lines
and botox on my 11's, which raised my brow a little
and she also put some botox on my muscle that pulls the mouth down...
and on the top of my lip to make it "roll out"
the after photo is two weeks after the injections...
I am also 3 weeks into Obagi.

I am very happy with the result and
and now consider doing my lips and cheeks...
it really is addicting stuff!

Re: nasal-labial fold lines- help!

I am also getting that slight down turn to the corners of my mouth. HATE it, but it is slightly better, but as Gymmie says just smile and they go away

You do look great. One day I may find the courage to do this and the $$$$$$

Congratulations... you look terrific! Yes, I too just got "filled" but for the lips and botox for the other areas. I don't see the "eyebrow lift" I asked for ,however.
Yes, it can be addicting but I do feel I deserve to look my best as I age

Have fun with it and keep lookin' super!
