But still I am not feeling that brave enough to try it yet!
Who would?? |

NY OMG@"spotted dick"!!
Did you see the post about the aspirin mask? It is salicylic acid and is a fine exfoliator.
Don't use the aspirin mask too close to the Green Cream or you'll burn the hide off your face!
The GC Level 3 is a mild strength to start out, but you can still overdo it if you aren't careful. It's a mild slow peel essentially.

| No side effects, but I don't know if it is really "safe". If I were pregnant or breastfeeding I sure wouldn't try it.

| NY, you're still young!! Do not use too many anti-aging products on ur face!! Wait and see how the products you're using are actually responding to ur skin first then switch to a stronger product gradually. Try the vit c serum first and c how it goes!
Hope this helps!

thanks fawnie all is made clear to me il be doing that tomo, but just so I know is it something do you know people use as long term thing or should i get some of the gylonical salicylic acid to use at later date? Just cause im thinking that there is obviously something in me using creams on my face that is making my pores so prone to breaking out like this, but then have a feeling this is quite a normal thing when it comes down to using anti wrinkle creams, thanks again though for the help.

| We like to use L-ascorbic acid because it is water soluble and absorbs best into the skin. The downside is that it is not stable, so we only make a small quantity at a time.
You can use other forms of ascorbic acid, oil soluble ones, but they require an oil-based vehicle (i.e., you just can't use distilled water) and they don't penetrate the skin as well as the L-ascorbic acid does. (I guess because the body is like, what, 70% water or something like that?). But the good thing is that they are more stable.
Manufacturers have sophisticated equipment and methods to get around all of these problems, but we don't. I don't think it's worth using anything other than the L-ascorbic acid if I am making it myself, but others may have more experience and be in a better position to advise you on this one.

Well I have to say olay is for me. I have used olay products since I was 15 yrs. old and I an now 46. I have never had a problem and there products grew with me. I have tried others from inexpensive to very expensive but always went back to olay. I have to say that I am hooked. I have to say though it is to each their own, what works for one may not work for another.

| Thanks Lexi. I like Olay too as they are affordable. I was using their day cream at one time and it was really good for my oily skin as it was non-greasy. But I have never used their anti-aging products. I will see if I can try some samples if possible. |

| sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude, NY!
It is best to use aspirin mask once a week. The good thing it is cheap and easy to make. I c u've got the recipe already from Fawnie.
Good luck and don't forget to let us know how it goes |

Thanks mireka for the tips il check out the info you gave later, will def be cheaper to make our own vit c!!
Lexi I agree with you Olay products are good but so are Garnier they spend a lot of time researching there products before putting anything out there on the market!! I know with Olay too if your not 100 per cent happy with product you can return it to them!!
If you are still trying to find out what proudct are best for your skin I would make sure you can return them even once opened and you have tried a bit incase they are not corrrect for you, good way of saving the pennys too!
However if you already have fine lines Pumi if i were you Id use this witha retinol based product eg as I said either Green Cream do one at dermastore.com or I know ROX have some good retinol based products but just check if they are ok for sensative skin as the 0.3 one as fawnie told me from green cream is ok for sensative skin!! Hydrocholric acid is a good one also for the skin, also seaweed tablets are cheap and good to take from holland and barrett too!!
Just look for ingredients and reviews on stuff before buying anything!!
Pumi have you used the asprin mask yourself cause on you tube it said dont use for more than 2 weeks as skin after this will get used to product and she said use it twice week?! Yeah il let you know how it goes!!

| The cosmetic term for viper or snake venom in cosmetics is argireline -- it relaxes the facial muscles -- I'm not too sure about this -- so you're face is so relaxed you become expressionless? |

Neither ViperVenom nor argineline is to be applied over the entire face - it will cause sagging! You only apply it in targeted areas like Botox, which you would never use over your entire face either!
