Dear Fawnie, As soon as I hit "send" I realized that I let my emotions get the better of me. You are so right...I absolutely misunderstood what transpired in those previous postings. Thank you so much for chastising a newbie. This is my first time in forums like this. The reason why I'm even here is for research purposes. I am embarking on a business career in the health and anti-aging industry and I want to see what's available in the marketplace. I want to make sure that my product pick has good following and good reviews. As I read more and more discussion threads, it dawned on me that this forum is a invaluable source of information on what consumers want and think. Furthermore, I realized that the more impartial the comments are, the more valuable the information becomes - no wonder the site bans any selling activities. How could I have missed that? The way you handled my response was also praiseworthy. Thanks for your understanding and for giving me the benefit of the doubt. So if, you'll forgive me, dear Fawnie, I would like to say, I'm back!!! unosix8 (stands for "168" which in Chinese means "Let's get prosperous together" or "The road to prosperity").

Wow! I was so excited to find this site, but after reading the comments above and how a person who sells the Galvanic Spa can't post something about it without someone being offended or think that person is "fishy" is so crazy. Let me get this right...If I use the Galvanic Spa, love the results and don't sell it, it is okay to post my experience I have had with it. But, should I sell the product and post my experience with it, it is not okay.

Hi~ I haven't been here in a very long time. But I do get the occasional update on this thread. I don't really care to spend a lot of time on forums, just too busy. But to answer your question: If you happen to have a product you represent keep it to yourself. Anything you might share about it will be seen as a sales pitch. And the ladies here, although I am sure they are quite nice in general, will jump all over you if you make a wrong step... I made mistakes as I hadn't really been on a forum before and I do have products that I sell. Several now actually from my blog. One member here was particularly nice, and did give a product I sell another go, she already had it. She did stop as she experienced breakouts. Quite normal as the product pulls impurities from deep in the skin that otherwise would just sit there congesting the skin and inhibiting proper cell function. Ridding the skin completely of these impurities takes time. In any case she and I did have several pleasant and private email conversations but I have stayed away from the forum, until seeing your post. So zip your lips on any product you may be in the business of selling and enjoy the forum for what it is... Good Luck!

I haven't used the Nu SkinGalvanic Spa but watched a bunch of You Tube videos about it over the weekend. Kind of looked interesting! My impression of it is that it does seem to do something but it's not a diy face lift device, more like a refresher that perks the skin up and makes the skin look temporarily healthier and brighter. The demo I watched really was kind of neat. The person did one half of the ladies face and sure, it did look brighter and slightly more lifted. But not in a dramatic way. I'm pretty sure Nu Skin Galvanic Spa is some kind of network marketed product. I got a kick out of this when I figured it out because the headquarters is in Salt Lake City, Utah; I lived several blocks away from it for 3 and a half years without bothering to look in to it. It's right across the street from the Gateway, a mall I used to enjoy going to. After watching the videos I thought about it and just can't justify paying $300 (or even $150 used on Amazon) for it. There are too many other gadgets I'd rather have. One of the big drawbacks is the cost not of the gadget itself but the gel thingies that go with it. That is at the moment though. I love spa gadgets, so I might think about it again later.

You nailed it, gretchen. It's not a big conspiracy here about touting your own products for sale. Those are the rules of the forum as decided by the administrators: Skin Care Talk - Announcements in Forum : Introductions
