Can you tell us a little more about your experience with it?
How do you use it?
What type skin do you have and what problems did this help you overcome?
How expensive are the serums that you have to use with the machine?
Do you have to use their serums or will any serums do?
What are the principles behind its use?

Firstly, Nu Skin is not a pyramid scheme. If it was it would not have lasted for 25 years in the anti aging industry. Second, Forbes Magazine does not recommend that you buy stock in a pyramid and a pyramid would not have stock. Nu Skin is traded on the NYSE and was mentioned 2 times by Forbes this year as a top stock for 2009. I am an esthetician, facialist. I use it and the results are nothing less than remarkable. You must use the facial gels that are formulated to be used with the Galvanic Spa or your results will not be anywhere the same. The gels are infused with ions which is what allows them to drive the beneficial ingredients deep into the skin. Into the fibroblasts which is where collagen and elastin is produced. You do NOT need to be a distributor to get the discount program so whoever is telling you that is dead wrong. You only need to sign up for an ADR program for your Facial Gels to allow automatic shipment each month. which you are free to stop anytime. This cuts the cost of the gels by $16 a box and you get points back, 20%, on ALL purchases to use for free product. You have the ability to purchase ANY Nu Skin product a the discounted price, not just the facial gels. There is a lot of misinformation and assumption out there about how this company works. Just because it is on the net does not mean it is true or the person posting it knows what they are talking about. I hope I have cleared up some questions here.

Is it similar to the Baby Quasar? Does it work the same way??
Curious...

I have used my Galvanic spa with the serums that came with it for about 2 months and haven't yet had a WOW! moment. Maybe with all the other things I use my skin is as good as it's going to get, but this spa wasn't anything special for me.
The Nuskin demo shows a person getting a lifting effect, but I never got that effect. It makes my skin somewhat moist, but no more than my usual moisturizer. *meh*

Hi~ Results do vary. And the more you need it the more obvious the result. Also, technique counts. I am not going to elaborate much here as I have been accused of being "fishy". I assure you that is not my intention. Just a professional esthetician who uses and endorses this product. And tired of all the misinformation floating around. After getting my license I did further training at the Aveda Institute of Advanced Esthetics, I'm not a skin care dummy and I am not trying to PUSH a product. Yeah, I sell the Galvanic, but I have not posted anything in regards to contacting me about it, nothing like that. Just trying to educate with the truth. Whatever..... People want to goof around with stuff that doesn't work, or making up stuff from their kitchen cabinet is fine with me. But to call me fishy because I know more than the average gal, well, so what.

Hi JeffrieAnn
I'm sorry if you were called fishy. You have every right to present info and opinions here, just as we all do, and I appreciate your feedback on the galvanic spa.
You're right, results do vary as with any product or gadget! How can I improve my technique with it to get better results? I am following the Nuskin demo DVD that came with the device - not sure if you have access to the DVD for home use. Do you have a link to a better demo that you could share?
thanks for your post.

Hi~ I don't like their demo DVD, I feel like it is vague.... I have one since I use the device and sell it.
When you use the spa, are you removing ALL jewelry? Any metal touching the body can interfere with the current reducing the result. A zipper in your clothing is ok as they are usually backed by fabric and not in contact with the skin.
Be sure when you use the spa to lay the chrome head as FLAT on the face as possible. Do not use the skinny top edge as you are covering less surface area and again, reducing result. Move the device slowly with slight pressure as you move up your face. If you have areas you want to pay more attention to such as corners of the eye, eye lid, jawline, gently lift the skin in the area with the device and hold for a count of 5 then continue to move the device upward.
Do not WASH the gels off with cleanser afterward, just wipe with a damp cloth. One thing that is extremely effective as an additional daily treatment is an application of a product containing Ethocyn, an elastin restoring product. 2 companies make one. It is a very exclusive ingredient, $$, but worth it.
If you would like to see links to more info on the Galvanic see my blog, I think it is listed in my bio. You are NOT obligated to purchase a thing, I write for fun, to educate and to sell. And if you do look at the blog, let me know how I am doing as I just started it in late August. I lost all my comments with a plugin glitch and now I need some feedback with the new comment plugin!
I hope the info on the Galvanic use is helpful, let me know!
And thanks for being nice to me.... I appreciate it. I'm nice too, I just come off as a pain sometimes as I am an opinionated gal...sorry!
Jeffrie Ann

Thanks JeffrieAnn!
I'll try it that way. I do have a bottle of tru face™ essence ultra firming serum capsules from Nu Skin that contain ethocyn. Every time I use one my skin reacts with a red angry pimple.
Thanks tho, I'll try the spa again.
No problem - it's nice that you are so passionate about your products.

| Good luck with the new technique! Sorry to hear about the angry red pimple! One never knows what they will react to. Why didn't you return it? Nu Skin is good about returns of you have a reaction. I broke out when I used the 180 System Night Repair Lotion.
Do let me know if the technique I recommend gives a better result!

OK I will let you know how your technique works! thanks!
I keep using the tru face™ capsules around my eyes and my neck where I don't get pimples, so hopefully they will work there!

| Yes, Fawnie~ It is good for the eye and neck area. I use it there too. Also, rub the remainder left on your fingertips on the top of your hands! Hands need anti-aging just like your face! |

If it works that well, and it's truly the "miracle" they'd have us believe, sheer word of mouth would keep them busier than they'd have time to fill orders for.

| I have already apologized for the mistakes I made here. There is nothing wrong, it works. And yes, I do sell a lot of them to people who are very pleased. I think that if you can not see that I realized my mistakes (having not really looked at or taken part in forums before) and you are chasing me around here that you must have a problem and way too much down time on your hands. Fawnie did end up asking me some direct questions so I answered. She already has a Galvanic so obviously I am not trying to make a sale by responding to her. As a result of your rudeness, I won't be back, which should please YOU immensely. I don't have a lot of time to spend at forums and you have made it clear that this is the wrong one.
Good luck to Fawnie with the technique!

I've used the spa with the serums now since August this year and each and every time I use it I get a ginormous pimple somewhere on my face. This is just awful!!! It makes the skin around my eyes and cheeks nice and soft, but the pimple is not what I had in mind for "younger looking skin"....I give up on this!!

WOW! This is my first posting in this forum and it could very well be my last. I followed the thread on the Galvanic Spa and I was floored by the way the SCT "legends" drove poor JeffryAnn out of the forum. It sounded like a conspiracy to me, "ladies". I suggest that this forum drop the caveat "not to sell or promote any products". From the looks of it, everyone in this forum has something to sell. If there is nothing to gain (sheer knowledge???), how can any self-respecting person post more than 1,000 posts or more? Too much time in your hands? Fishy, fishy, fishy!!! |

I have a Baby Q myself, and it works great for me. I don't have room for another device/gadget. Nothing wrong with simple honesty!!

First of all, no one "drove poor JeffryAnn[sic] off". We had useful dialog and explored why the device might not be working and how to revise the technique. I had many cordial PM's with her about it and other topics. It's an open and public forum and everyone is free to come and go as they please as long as they play by the rules.
If you think posting on a skincare forum is "fishy", may I ask why you are here, my friend?
We aren't "selling" products for personal gain, that's the difference. We honestly review products that we use.
I really hope that you have simply misunderstood and can change the aggressive tone of your posts. We welcome your input as long as it isn't rude or angry.

Hi there,
Have you used the Galvanic Spa twice a week for 2 months at least?
You should persevere despite the pimple. Remember the pre-treatment gel is eliminating impurities from the skin, so I have found in the beginning this may happen. But hey its cleaning your skin! And after regular use, it actually improves pimples.
