Re: Creme de la Mer

There is no huge difference between products that cost $100 and others that are $10. You just need to find a good company that makes stuff suitable for your skin. The expensive products are just meant for rich people that want to feel special. It's like driving a lexus or toyota. They are basicaly the same, but people feel better knowing they paid more for a lexus. It makes them feel exclusive.

Re: Creme de la Mer

I know I keep mentioning this sight (Skin Actives.com) but they have so much to offer. They carry a La Mur Kit you can buy to make yourself. Sell all the actives in all the name brand products. It's also fun to make yourself and cheaper. I started making my own skincare about 3 months ago, and I've seen better results already, compared to the high priced things I was buying.
They also have skin lightening products.

I would make my own products if I had the time and patience. I wouldn't know how to make sure the product was safe and didnt burn my skin off!

Re: Creme de la Mer

I got as a gift the translucent powder and the truth is I really liked it. My skin didn't react to it and I really liked the brightening effect it gave me. The other colors are okay it's the translucent one that has an iridescent effect. As far as the skin care I got samples once (which is like pulling teeth) and I thought it was a big waste.

Re: Creme de la Mer

La Mer doesn't cost $1000 unless you go for the 1/2 liter jar. On their webpage the price for 30 ml is $130. It's not THAT MUCH for high-end skincare.

I meant, the price is high-end.
Besides, don't you know, it's not the ingredients, it's La Miracle Broth.
