Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I believe antioxidants have great effects to the skin, as too it has great effects to the body when eaten. There's a lot of discovery of all these fruits and how they have antioxidants and turned them into drinks and so on. Other then that I do eat a lot of fruits to that have antioxidants and drink a lot of water.
Hope this helps you.

Wow- its so scary because you trust your skin to other people- and they don't even CARE about the damage they do to you. I am sad about this.

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

Maya,
Do you have any experience using "LifeCell" cream, it is advertised on the internet for $189, lasts 40 days. So, yes quite expensive.

I am 50 and would like to purchase a product to moisturize, plump, and smooth out my skin. There is soooo much on the internet it is hard to sort through. And who do you believe? Everything I read makes me believe no over-the-counter products are worth anything.

What creams/products have you found that have the Reinoic acid/Vit A in an amount that will work? What potency do you need in a product for ALA (Alph Lipoic Acid)? Can you get one product with both?

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

My wife and I have been using ageless from rejuvenate worldwide and we love it! My wife has agespots that disappeared a week after using. I have bags under my eyes, we have a newborn baby that wakes up every 2 hours and ageless took care of that.. my mom likes it too for her wrinkles under her eyes after I sent her a bottle, now she got my dad to use it, lol.

I like Athena's 7 Minute Lift and Jan Marini's Factor A Plus Lotion. Both work wonders!

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

Hi, I'm 28 years old and decided that it was "time" to begin a regime of anti-wrinkles. For years I used the Origins line for cleansing, toning and moisturizing, then I switched to Clinique and felt less impressed. But the reason I'm writing here today is that after watching and reading so much about it's benefits I decided to try out the Aveeno Positively Ageless night cream and Positively Ageless Eye Serum. Does anyone know if the television/news hype about products like Aveeno and Oil of Olay are true? I even read on an article last month that Oil of Olay did significantly better as an anti-wrinkle solution than some expensive options. What do you think?

The best anti aging I've found is living young. Dont act old and you wont look old. Live it up people! Pick out a younger significant other, and ride it out!

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

Olay Regenerist and Total Effects really work for me. My favorites are: Total Effects Seven Signs Serum and Regenerist Night Cream. I also use Rite Aid Vitamin E 20,00 iu moisturizing cream on my chest and neck. (My dermatologist recommended this cream for wrinkles)
Taking care of your skin is important, the best thing to do is to find a product line that works for you and stick to it. And always remember to wear sunblock.

Wishful thinking.. Even the youngest at heart should wear sunblock, should exfoliate weekly and apply a daily moisturizer.

Stay out of the sun (I stopped at 27 sunbathing) and began wearing at least spf 15 daily with sunglasses. I am in a very sunny area (Los Angeles).

i should have used sunscreen and taken better care of myself when i was younge. from reading the posts i can see that a lot of people benefit from daily sunscreen use when they are young. if only i could turn back time!

anyway now im in my 40's and see wrinkles and I dont like them. have any of you had sucess with anti-aging products?

i decided my new product to try is Relastin. I have used it for three weeks so far. they have an Eye Silk so i have been using that around my eyes and then the Skin Revitalizer on the rest of my face.

so far so good with Relastin. The creases around my eyes are smaller, but it's gonna take a miracle(or surgery) to make the dissapear completely!

anyone else using Relastin? any other products to try?(ones for wrinkles already there...i cant prevent them from happening they are already here!) LOL

thanks guys
One of the best things you can do for your skin is to find a skincare line that works for you and stick with it long enough to see the results. I'm in my late 30's and I use Olay, Regenerist Line. I've used Olay for about five years now and my fair, combination skin looks moisture rich, and smooth. My fine lines are minimal.
Specifically I use:
Regenerist micro-sculpting cream (makes pores smaller, adds firmness)
Night Recovery Moisture Treatment (makes pores smaller, has time releasing moisturizers, minimizes wrinkles)
Daily Regenerating Serum. (evens out skin tone, keeps skin moist)

For my eyes I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Intensive eye cream with Retinal.

I've also used Skinceuticals with positive results.

I hope this helps!

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

Just started using Derma Intensive+ anti-wrinkle serum by Mellor and Russell...just brought out in the UK....have used it for only two weeks and already seeing good results. I am also using the Anti-Wrinkle eye cream and found it has reduced eye lines and dark circles drastically, am well chuffed!

I use detente. It works well for me it seems but what do I really know, I may have just wasted my money only thinking it actually works. I guess you will just have to try it!

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I skipped right to the last page, so I don't know what everyone has said, sorry. But here is my advice:

Stay away from the sun - your best bet for antiaging. Use a sunscreen always.

If you already have damage - the products I've researched that show the best results are:

Retinoids (and retinols, to some degree)
Hydroxy Acids - AHA's or BHAs
Copper Peptides - Skin Biology's (or Procyte's)
L-absorbic Acid - Vitamin C

Retinoids/retinols and hydroxy acids will help with finer lines and finer wrinkles as well as texture and skin tone. Vitamin C will also help here but has some effect on color (pigmentation) as well. Vit C can give a 'glow' to dull looking skin. The exfoliants will do that as well since their action is to speed up the natural exfoliation that takes place on the skin. Retinoids have some studies that show it can help rebuild the collagen/thicken up the skin.

The product I discovered this year that has really helped my aging skin is the copper peptides (CPs) from Skin Biology. They have many studies that show their CPs actually rebuild the skin (skin remodeling, they call it). The earlier CP called GHK (originally developed at Procyte and used by some other co's) has been FDA approved for wound healing. The newer CPs developed by Skin Biology are stronger and more resisitant to exfoliatives (which they work best with) than the GHK CPs. Studies have shown CPs to work better than either retinoids or Vit C.

I actually had been considering a face lift or upper bleph before I ventured upon CPs. I can hold off on that now since my skin has tightened up considerably, my pores have gotten smaller and the texture is much improved. I also have a great glow/youthfullness going. I've been mistaken for someone 15 years younger than I am these last few months (I've used the CPs for 10 months!) Good stuff!
