Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I use Glimpse Intuitive Skin Care. I had a major skin irruption this summer with it causing horrible wrinkles around my eyes which I never had before. Just started using my product beginning of November and I must say I'm pretty happy with my results as my skin is getting back to normal. I've been taking pictures. I like the product because it's natural (no chemicals) and it does so much more than anti-aging. And I do agree with Lulu, a whole health approach on top of your skin care line is very important.

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

hi susie,

unfortunately, i'm not brand loyal (or perhaps that's fortunate). i just perchased my second round of dermaglow's Advanced Wrinkle Concentrate, and Advanced Eye Therapy. I have tried plenty of more expensive products (the La Mere line) and prefer dermaglow. I do see visible and obvious results. I should caution you that Dermaglow is a bit shady about listing the ingredients that are in the stuff, and i don't like that. I also am on my 7th tube of the Boots No. 7 serum, which i'm addicted to. I have just ordered some products from Paula's Choice (Paula Begoun, a skin care expert who writes the "Don't Go To The Makeup Conter Without Me" books). They are reasonably priced, so i'll let you all know how it goes. anyone else have input on Paula's Choice?

I suppose, too, it thoroughly depends on whatkind of skin you have. some products will be more advisable than others depending on whether you are normal, dry, combination, or oily. Sunscreen, drinking a lot of water, limiting alcohol and stopping smoking will all help to avoid any further damage, i'm told.

I'm here for input, too. I am seeking advice on fade creams (I cannot completely get rid of traces of my pregnancy mask), as well as anti-aging products that really work, and what products work best to blast blackheads and minimize pores.

I do have a couple of more questions: are toners really necessary? what is best for 30ish combination skin? Also, what, if any, vitamin supplements can help me fight the wrinkle battle?

Thanks

thanks,

cat

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

My wife and I also use Glimpse Intuitive Skin Care.
I've noticed in the month we've had it that my skin feels smooth and softer. I also shave with the cleanser instead of shaving cream and my skin isn't irritated (razor burn) when I'm done.

Plenty of water, good nutrition, vitamins and suppliments are also key.

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I have used Modele's anti aging products for the last year and I wouldn't switch for anything. My daughter even brought out a picture from last Christmas and told me I looked like I'd had a face lift! I use their anti wrinkle face cream, anti wrinkle eye gel, collagen lip treatment and recently I've tried their Facial Peel Wipes. I'm sooo happy with my results. My crowsfeet have almost disappeared, the tiny lines I began seeing all over my face are gone, and I have lovely kissable full lips. I buy it online at Agelessshop but it is in the pharmacies too.

I like and have seen great results with Clayton Shaggal" Collagen. You cant go wrong with this. Brightens, removes pigmentation, evens skin tone, reduce pore size and helps to remove acne scarring. great product!

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I recently read an article from Prevention reports. It recommends 3 skincare items that I was thinking of buying but wanted some advice before I paid more than a hundred dollars for all three.
Prescriptives Anti AGE Advanced Protection Lotion (Sugar buster)
Eau Thermale Avene Retrinal (OTC retinol)
La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV with SPF 30 (Day Lotion)

Have you used any of these? Are there less expensive alternatives?

The one thing I've discovered you can use any product but if you don't do proper treatments they don't work

i should have used sunscreen and taken better care of myself when i was younge. from reading the posts i can see that a lot of people benefit from daily sunscreen use when they are young. if only i could turn back time!

anyway now im in my 40's and see wrinkles and I dont like them. have any of you had sucess with anti-aging products?

i decided my new product to try is Relastin. I have used it for three weeks so far. they have an Eye Silk so i have been using that around my eyes and then the Skin Revitalizer on the rest of my face.

so far so good with Relastin. The creases around my eyes are smaller, but it's gonna take a miracle(or surgery) to make the dissapear completely!

anyone else using Relastin? any other products to try?(ones for wrinkles already there...i cant prevent them from happening they are already here!) LOL

thanks guys

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I am 32 and i am pretty new at anti aging. but i am sooo into it.

currently i use AdorageMD's Antistress serum, hyaluronic Acid serum and their moisturizing cream together with Dr. huskah's rose oil and Lubridem

I think this is a great combination, but i have been told that i need to take additional anti-oxidant suppliments.

is this true? and what do you guys think of adorageMD products, they dont sell it at many places, i have seen it at a few stores in new york and new jersey, but its predominantly being sold online through their website

The best anti-aging product you can use is sunblock.

If you can afford it the absolute best is CHANTECAILLE BIODYNAMIC LIFTING CREAM from Neiman Marcus. It is very expensive, but if you really want to try it go in and they will fix you up with free samples--if you don't have an NM near you call the nearest one and they will send you free samples---no lie. It IS the best. Once you try it you can see an immediate difference. It will look like you have had something done. Over the past five years I have purchased it 5 or 6 times. Have to give it a break some times because I don't always have the money---but it is my first choice for the ultimate anti-aging skin care. Give it a shot.

Sounds like a lot of pseudo-science to me...I am not easily convinced by such "amazing" sounding scientific breakthroughs without knowing a lot more about the real facts.

True true! But like the OP wrote in the first post, they missed that boat years ago. [Cher pops up and sings "If I could turn back time!" ]

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

I have used Isomers products for years with good results. Only problem is that I never like some of the formulas since they are too oily feeling. Recently I am experimenting with a new brand which hopefully will give me the same or better results without the oil.

In terms of ingredients, I am a believer in Matrixyl, Vitamin C, and DMAE. A bit more skeptical about Argireline (spelling?) and some of the others out there (e.g. kelp mumbo jumbo, caviar whamma jamma, mystery collagen, etc.)

Re: Which anti-aging products do you like?

Has anyone tried facial skin needling? It is suppose to be wonderful for removing wrinkles. It's main purpose is to trick your skin to produce more collagen. It starts by rolling a roller with needles all over your face. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it did sound interesting.
