Hey this is definetely a good thing for me too, I'm not rich matter of fact I'm unemployed so the price is right for me, and it's giving me a little (ok- alot ) of confidence back! This may help me get a decent job, I hope. ANd I really don't think wanting to look good is vain, I think it's self respect..... And I believe some of us women, mothers give it up when we have kids and husbands that demand so much of our time.... and money but this is something anyone can do, and really Tigerlily I thank you for posting it...

| Hi goatlady, just want to let you know Vitacost is back ordered on the pure powder stevia.. I ordered that as well as the extract about 4 days ago, and got an email today that the powder could take as long as 30 days to be in stock again..
I can't wait to try this stuff. Then of course, I'll have to see what a drop does added to a serum..

This is the one that's backordered up to 30 days...Drats! Kal Pure Stevia Extract Powder -- 3.5 oz - Vitacost
And this one, that I just realized say's stevia "concentrate", and not extract.. Argh! Wisdom Natural Sweet Leaf Whole Leaf Stevia Concentrate -- 2 fl oz - Vitacost
I wonder what the difference is.. The ingredients are just stevia and purified water.

| | Re: Stevia, a sweet wrinkle reducer? The last 2 orders I have placed with Vitacost a few of my items have been back ordered. It frustrates me too because they won't send your other items until the backorder stuff comes in-guess they are trying to save on shipping-
Keep us posted on the outcome of the stevia Kassy.

Galin this is what Mony told me to do I emptied 3 packet Equals 6 tespoons of stevia into a small jar then add enough water about 1 teaspon or so, mix it up and pat the goop on my face allover even under my chin, as the skin there seems to sag (quite a bit!) leave it on for half hour or so then rince with warm water and moisturize

Ok. 1 packet of stevia ( according to my packets is 1/4 teaspoon but it equals the amount of two teaspoons of real granulated sugar. ---there so I used 2 packets stevia so 1/2 a teaspoon of stevia and about 1/4 teaspoon of hot water- I had enough for my 1 wrinkle on my forehead, the one between my brows ,upper lip, under eyes and hound jouls.(under chin). plus there was still goop left , wonder how that would work on the flab? pretty sticky....

| | Re: Stevia, a sweet wrinkle reducer? My Oh MY,
I couldn't wait any longer so I went ahead and had a go. NowI read that goatlady says 6 teaspoons and mony says 1/2 a teaspoon!
Well I did 2 level teaspoons of the stevia mixed with 1/2 a teaspoon of hot water. It mixed up like thick glue. It even felt like glue when I was putting it on!
I found a brush I used to use years ago with a face mask so I brushed the mixture on with that. It worked well. I brushed it on my entire face and neck. Talk about cement! I couldn't move my face at all!
After the 30 mins I washed it off with warm water and WOW, my skin feels great! So soft. I think it is tighter but not real obviously, maybe after a couple of goes it will show more.
I then used my ex-tend body lotion on my face and neck. I wish I was going out tonight as my skin looks great!

Gailin, I used it 4 times throughout the day 2 days ago, I think that is what jump- started it for me, like I said I have sensitive skin, but it didn't harm it at all. But now my skin is starting to look like it did before I started the cystic acnee in my 30's. I think I'm doing Darn good!

OK mony, I'll do it 4 times tomorrow (it is night time here). Do you think I used too much of the stevia?

Honestly I don't know- but maybe it was too thick of a paste? try a little less or more hot water have you ever worked with wall paper paste? - That's how it looked to me, cloudy and thick like gelatin before it harden's up..... try it again that is all I can say, I'll be doing it again today now I have to and the groceries...

Thanx for your advice mony.
Tomorrow I'll use 1 teaspoon of the stevia per 1/2 a teaspoon of water as it was pretty lumpy when I did it tonight.
Great stuff though!

Yep it is lumpy, I stir mine with a popsicle stick then apply with the same said stick or my fingers. I wish you luck.... oh and I just got back from Walmart Yes Walmart out here in the stix carries stevia ( like the twin sugar substitute- it was actually right beside the twin on the shelf. So if Walmart carries it up here ( in no man's land) it should have it out there!

Ugh! I couldn't stand to wait another day to try this, so I went to Whole Foods and picked up "Stevia Liquid Extract", (the same one that was used in the study/article I posted somewhere).. The ingredients are 80+% stevia, 11% alcohol and the remainder water.
In the article it says to apply straight from the bottle, to cover face and neck. Leave on 45 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
Have any of you attempted this on the eye area? I'm afraid it will tug that delicate skin too much, but on the other hand, I'd love to try it on my fatty bags... hmm!
As soon as "Mr Kassy" goes to bed, I'll have at it.. He thinks my antics are nuts enough as it is, so I won't subject him to 'cement' face... (I'm sure he would love the 45 minute silence though.. )
I'll let you know what happens later.
