One night, like the 2nd night she took it, she asked me why she had 2 bowls of cereal in front of her and why they were shaped so funny. (She clearly only had one bowl). Then she was giggling and talking about funny things she was seeing as I walked her to her bedroom-and saying that she wanted to go outside. I threw her pills away that night!!! They can be dangerous for some people!! It was weird that not only did they not even make my drowsy, I felt NO effect from them whatsoever after taking them for a week.

I normally will take 3mg or a half of 3mg. I know whimpy whimpy whimpy. | Try a good dose of oral DMAE for some really funky dreams.

| LOL, LOL, LOL, no no no fawnster!!!! Sandia said it was like being on acid. That is why I said you are scaring me!!! I have never taken acid to know what that feels like. I haven't taken any of these sleep aides these guys are talking about. I pretty much just deal with not going to sleep. I really don't want to have to rely on any kind of sleep aid, I will let my eyes close when they are ready-and if they aren't, so be it!! I will be one cranky biotch in the morning- |

Honestly, the dreams I do hate are the ones where you feel like you are falling. OOOOOHHHHH I hate those. Or where you step off of the curb and you startle yourself and wake up and feel like an ***- |

Well, I took 9 mg of melatonin last night since I just couldn't sleep and dreamed my DH was wearing a nightgown! Woo hoooooo!!!
I usually take 3 mg and never have anything interesting like that.

I take Valerian, Hops and one Unisom and it helps me. I tell you after I had my daughter I could not sleep at all. I hardly slept for nearly 3 years after she was born. I finally had to find something and that is the combo that finally worked for me. I was nearly insane from lack of sleep.

I always have trouble sleeping and then I read somewhere that this combo works. 5HTP, Melatonin and Theanine. They have stuff premixed but I found it cheaper to buy all 3 separate at iherb. I was very skeptical but it WORKS! and no groggy or dopey feeling the next morning. I love it. it is 50mg of the 5HTP, 200mg of the Theanine and 3 mg of the Melatonin. I was absolutely shocked when I woke up in the morning and realized I had slept 6 hours straight through. I never do that.
Ambien stinks, for me anyway. Oh, and Lunesta ???? They can take that butterfly and let it fly up where the sun don't shine. That stuff makes your mouth taste like you have a roll of quarters in it , seriously! (yuck)

Okay, never taken acid before! LOL I swear! Just heard others talk about it! HA! Never had a bad dream "trip" on melatonin! Just good vivid dreams. Nothing that ever disrupted my sleep. That ended long ago!!

| Dude, really. I was desperate at 2 am last night/morning and popped a Lunesta. UGHHHH! It's like a mixture of ear wax and garlic in your mouth! I regretted that!! It's beyond horrible. "They" say it goes away after a few months, but I can't take it!!!!!

I do that a lot when I'm falling asleep. I think I actually stop breathing. I am sure I have sleep apnea and have been told I need to go to a sleep studies clinic. I have also been told by a lot of people that they can't sleep with the CPAP machine, so I don't know what to do! I'm also sure my husband has sleep apnea!!

Lunesta--ok--for those of you who do not know I will say it again, Lunesta is a pharma industry trick. It is an old medication called Zopiclone (Immovane as a brand name in Europe/Canada) that is taken at 7.5mg and works quite well. Sepracor, a US based pharmaceutical company decided to remove an isomer (it is a chemical compound within a medication) and created a weaker version known as........Eszopiclone chemically and LUNESTA. The benefit; weaker version got instant FDA approval, non-generic patented medication which essentially has existed for decades is now a proprietary medication and cannot be given in generic, CHACHING---and it has a monopoly until its original patent runs the monopoly course.
Both medications leave a taste of metallic **** in your mouth, BUT Zopiclone, the original, actually keeps you asleep, Lunesta rarely keeps you asleep more than 3 hours.

| | Re: Melatonin LOL LOL I swear, it's bad. Hearing that it was a med in another country? It took all but jumping through fiery hoops to get TRICARE to approve it for me!! My doc had to submit paperwork to them that he had tried me on everything else before they would approve it for me here in the US. @@ I was desperate. I was going through a horrible time and melatonin wasn't cutting it. That really pisses me off and the (excuse me) pharma-whores really piss me off If I could stand the taste in my mouth I'd pop 2 of those babies! It's 3:45 and I've been awake tonight/this morning for 2 hours. Hubby just got back from Japan yesterday afternoon. YAY! He'd been gone for 45 days. So glad he's back. We will be leaving for England in January- just after the first of the year.

I take Lorazapam every 2nd to third night and sleep from 3-5 hrs a night. you guys are luck you can sleep!
And about the Acid? Yep tried that in my teens (once!)- nothing to write home about, everything is funny - and you hear everything, like your hearing got extremely better. Nothing got warped for me....
