The microfiber cloth you're all using, is it the one used for cleaning cars or is it a special one? |

| Hi there, im new to this forum, i hope the vets don't mind me responding.
a very important factor when picking out skincare (especially anti-aging), is your skin. if you have sensitive skin using some of the heavier "dermological" brands might burn or flake our skin. I tried Dr. Periconne once and my face was a tomato for about 2 weeks. i followed their instructions to the "T".
expensive doesn't mean it works. You can slow the process of aging, use products that absorb into the skin (like serums), then use a good moisturizer for the upper layer. as your top layer "sloughs' away the new skin underneath has been treated with the good products (serum).
i tends towards using mostly natural based products, Spa grade. Ole Henriksen, Skyn Iceland, Korres.
Ole makes wonderful Serims, Express the truth for day and Invigorating night gel (recommend not using this every night as it is high in Vit C). Alternative is Korres Rose Serum. the Korres Serum can be placed all the way just below the eyes. very gentle. I am trying out Korres' new line Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Antiwrinkle. i just started so a review is impossible.
you don't have to use the same line throughtout your regime. most of the above products can be mixed and match to suit your skin type.
as for eye cream.. i love love Skyn Iceland eye cream. Also use Ole Henriksen Fresh Start eye cream. Both are very gentle and can be used just below the eye. as most eye creams only allow to pat around the orbital bone.
i am 48 years old and have been taking care of my skin since my early 20's. i have a little loss of elasticity (only becuase of weight loss/gain over many years). but i don't have any deep wrinkles. tiny tiny under eyes. that's it.

| Have to say OH yeah! I've also done several TCA peels at home and they have lessened the depth of the lines I've begun forming and smoothed/improved the texture of my skin overall. I haven't been using Retin A or Vit. C serum as long as some here. I have been using them both for close to 2 months? About that length of time and with the improvements from the TCA peels I'm stoked about the improvement I'm sure I'll see within the next few months to a year!

May I please bump this thread up? I, too, am wondering whether there is a difference between the regular (dusting!!) microfiber cloth I have been using for some time now, and the nifty one that most of you use? (I feel very self-congratulatory that I figured this one out for myself!)
Just a day or so ago, the address for the popular microfiber cloth was posted, but of course I can't find it. Could I please be redirected, or could someone please post it again? Thanks so much.
Shirley

| I haven't tried this range, although the products come highly recommended. They should as they are so expensive one would need to take out a second mortgage to buy them. |

| | Re: Anti-aging serum Fawnie is right - I got it, and I wasn't sorry. It really is an excellent product. Be careful with it though - I have a tendency to be a little enthusiastic when I use it - start off very gently.

| You can make your own CE ferulic serum for a fraction of the cost. Check the DIY threads. |

| Nope. They aren't at all the same. Have you compared them side by side? I have and they are lightyears apart in quality and effectiveness of exfoliating the skin.

| | Re: Anti-aging serum I have tried SOOOOOOO many different types of micro fiber cloths I think I could write a book about them. NOTHING compares to NCN cloth! I promise if you get this cloth you WON'T be disappointed, and it will last for quite sometime if you take care of it.

Fawnie and all - thank you! I have ordered the microfiber cloth, and I'm sure it will be better than the particular cheap dusting cloth I'm currently using. (I have another thingy here which is supposed to do the same thing w/o soap - "Miracle Cloth" with a sort of fur on one side. I will also compare this one.) Someone here mentioned this cloth from NCN can be used without soap? I'll try it both ways. (I asked for the new clay cleansing bar as a sample.) Thank you all so much!! Shirley

No! Don't use the NCN cloth with soap!!! Cleanse first and rinse, then use the dampened and wrung out cloth as a polishing cloth, like you would a chamois on your car! Go gently at first - it's possible to overdo it and scrape too much off your skin. Just move it gently over your skin in big circles til you see how it works!!!
Wash it out with gentle soap and air dry. Never put it in the washer...the little hairs will pick up lint that way and not work as well on your skin.
I hope you like it!!!
