Hmmmm cook with it? Whip up a stir fry- I haven't ever cooked with it before but I am sure it will work.

It has a strong "burnt nut" smell tho. Big waste of $$ for me. I'm being more cautious now. Argan oil was recommended by a member here who said it "got rid of undereye lines like nothing else"!!! I'm wiser and poorer now.

Hi! What would you all think of a combination of Mad Hippie and Viper Venom to work on forehead wrinkles? I am thinking of getting both right after New Year...might as well start the year off right! Opinions please....

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

Fawny, why is the argan oil good for the hair? What does it do? My hair is a bit frizzy, and sometimes the serums i buy from shops make it worse .
And i can see it helps with the wrinkles too?

Hi LnL -- So, meanwhile, any results for us on the Hippie butter to report? Also, with your usage of it, how long do you think one bottle of this stuff will last...one week, one month? Thanks!

Fawnie do you feel the Viper Venom is a short term solution or do you think it has some long term benefits? Do you use it all over or just around the crows feet area?

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

It is short term, but so is Botox!
The results of VV take around 30 days to reach maximal and it will wear off if you don't keep up with it, like Botox. VV is a tripeptide. Only use in areas that you would inject Botox - not the whole face!!

I just posted a thread about VV and the other Botox-like topicals if you are at all interested in this, goatie:

http://www.skincaretalk.com/anti-agi...njections.html

The links to the products give a lot of good info about them and how they are used, etc,

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

Nope silly! It just reverts to the way it was before, but theoretically the lines will be lessened as far as deepness since they've been "quiet" for a while. I use it then I quit for a while and.... *checking*..... no! my face is still on my head! Big as ever!

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

Hey Sophie,

I have been using my Mad Hippie's once a day by itself. It seems that there are so many active ingredients in it, mixing with anything else might be too much. That's my take on it at least.

I've only had the cream for a bit now, but so far I love it!

I have been applying mine at night. I applied it during the day, and I didn't like the way it made my foundation look. On a day when I don't wear foundation it might work fine.

Keep us posted on your thoughts about it.

Mine thoughts so far are: it is nice if you are looking for a pretty matte moisturizer. It does not leave you greasy in the least bit!!!

Mad Peri maybe????
Looks like a nice product but would be nice to know what percentage of each active is in the formula. Then again if they told you, you could make it yourself...lol

Here's one I make. The ingredients change a lil from time to time.

40ml distilled water
15 grams NaPCA
16 grams butylene glycol
2 grams green tea extract
5 grams pomegranate extract
5 grams acai powder
5 grams metabiotics resveratrol
5 grams lutein powder
5 grams apple stem cell
2 grams centella asiatica
few drops of phenoxyethanol
.16 grams disodium EDTA

Very watery which is fine with me. Sinks right into the skin.
How do you use this serum Peri? Instead of a vit C serum? Do you use any other moisturizer or products with it?

I ordered some resveratol and other ingredients from Lotioncrafter and now I'm thinking of adding them to my existing DMAE serum which is a thin watery fluid. Do I need the EDTA and glycol in there?

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

Hey All,

Since I've been using this stuff for a while and am now on my 3rd bottle, I thought I would give you my 2 cents-

It took about 4 weeks but I really did start to notice my skin changing - Wrinkles less pronounced, and a younger healthier glow to my skin.

After about 8 weeks I noticed a tightening of the skin under my eyes and a lightening of the small bags I had.

For me it's been great. I have also begun using Avalon Organics CoQ10 face cleanser, which I also adore

Re: Mad Hippie Repair Butter

that is the one thing everyone should remember. You have to have PATIENCE. I was totally lacking in this in the beginning and would try something and give up way too soon. I have stuck with certain things now and it is truly making a difference. It takes time, persistence and patience!

Patience is the hardest part for me!! But you're right, and I'm trying to not give up and not expect immediate results. It's just hard!!
