Das mag ein wenig seltsam erscheinen, aber nein, noch nie da gewesen. Um die Wahrheit zu sagen, ich hasse das reissen. Weiss auch nicht wieso, Kindheitstrauma vielleicht?

Kindheitstrauma - childhood trauma. My mom used to take me with her when I was smaller, so I figure, I already have traveled enough for a looong while.

Not really far, had to be within the iron curtain, but it was too often and too stressful for me, I guess. Nowdays I get really cranky when someone even mentions travel. Others have dentist trauma, I have travel trauma.

Kinda makes me an outsider, everybody seems to love travel and it's chick to flaunt travel pics in social networks and sh!t...

No it has a pharmaceutical smell. (I just went and smelt it. Never actually thought about it before) Kassy's may work better but this is what thederm started me on and because it works so well I am afraid to change in case I lose some of the improvement I have seen in my skin.

All the vials I got of CE ferulic from Skinceuticals had a definite HOT DOG odor...maybe it was oxidized and spoiled - it was a golden yellow color.....??? That's my issue with this product...for something as sensitive as a C serum you'd think they'd be more conscientious about letting us know the manufacture and expiry dates. Or maybe they just want to sell a product and aren't all that concerned.

well I heard that its doesnst have to be blood red for it to be oxidized, if thats the case then all the other vitamin C L-Ascorbic Acid serums would turn golden brown too and I tried Professional Solution, Cosmetics Solution, and many many other brands that didnt turn golden like Skinceuticals does, even the ones from ebay and the DIY doesnt turn golden brown or EVEN the slightest bit of yellow or off white, they stay clear, and no its not the ingredients in it, the Vitamin E oil which I added to the DIY C didnt turn it yellow or brown either. Also, I was reading some forums with certified experts who use Skinceuticals and they mentioned that they threw out the Skinceuticals which turned brown and advised people to use it up before it changes color.

Skinceuticals CE ferulic comes from the factory already a yellow color!
That's another issue I have with this product!

Has anyone else tried to pH test this serum? It's hard to see the color on the strip with such a strong color in the serum. I tried to test it once, but have long since stopped using it and threw it all away. Would be interested if someone can pH test it fresh and then after a month or so to see if the pH rises: another giveaway that the product has oxidized.

You're right, LnL - I had some DIY Kassy's serum in my closet made about 2 months ago that I stopped using and the color was still the milky clear color as when first made. I didn't pH test it tho.

also, if anyone uses Cellex C then I wonder if THAT one also comes a yellow color? Because they are of the same company, right?

Please help. The vitamin c serum (Kassy's recipe) that I made is slightly, very light yellow. Is that bad? I was under the impression that the very light yellow (only noticeable when inside a white china or ceramic cup) was ok. It does look and feel like vinaigrette.

Probably from the vit E oil regi. If you've just made it, it wouldn't be oxidized already to the point of color change! I had some in my closet for 2 months and it never changed color!

I have some skinceutical products and they all have expiration dates on them but the dates are like in two and three years. The prods will be gone in a couple of months.

Thanks, Fawnie, that takes a load off my mind. I absolutely love the serum. It is softening some little bumps under my eyes (milia) and the overall effect on my face is wonderful. I also noticed that after I started using the serum my makeup stays fresh longer! Wishing you and all SCT members a very Happy Holiday Season!

Mine is the same color and yes it does look a little like a vinegarette. It is fine and this is exactly what it should look like. Just give it a good shake before you use it and everything will work out fine.

Thanks, Gymrat. I just made a second batch and I'm very pleased with the results. So now my skin regimen consists of c serum in the daytime and retin-a at night. My next step is to buy a good sunblock and I'm inclined to go with LaRoche-Posay which seems to be very well regarded amongst the SCT members. You're all just wonderful!
