PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

I sent for the free offer of 'purelift' only yo find that they will constantly take large ammounts of money from your a/c.......they then pass your card details to another of their crooked companies, where they will proceed to take even more money without even sending any product, which of course you have not ordered anyway.
i am at my wits end and spending hours with my bank to get this scam removed, but it takes 31 days, and in that 31 days they will have taken hundreds more dollars............even then my bank say they might continue to try to obtain money fraudulantly........i,m sure i will have to close my bank and card account ,and move to another bank.........i have never before been subjested to a fraud such as this, and if you 'google' 'purelift' you will find thousands of complaints......so please avoid at all costs.

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

I am sorry you are going though this and hope you get resolution soon.

IMHO every time, a company is offering a 14 day free trial on a product ( which is not a long time to figure out if it is working or not) and ask for your credit card info is a scam.

They not only charge you but are selling for your info as well.

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

Thanks for replies....because i use a debit card and not credit card,it seems its more difficult to stop payments.....my bank has sent them a letter telling them to stop ,but even then it seems that this might not happen.! why on earth my bank cannot just stop payments is beyond me ,and as yet i have not seen an up to date bank statement to see if they have also been charging me even more by passing my a/c number to their other companies ,even though i have not asked for other products or recieved anything at all.

Its almost impossible to find anything on their website to see how much the items are,and only by finding an obscure termsof reference, can you see that they say unless the item is returned within 14 days you are subject to at least 6 months of payments .......the cunning thing is,they do not even send the item until AFTER 16 days have passed,so its impossible to do this.
no addresses are given, except that they have offices in Europe,US and Cyprus....and now even ,every telephone number is dead.
Within weeks they can clear anyones bank account.
Becaue here in the UK banks are closed until tomorrow ,29 december,i am unable to see them, but have phoned Barclays Visa many times and they really have not been very helpful ,and i am furious !
I think i will have cancel all accounts with Barclays, but even then i,m told these disgusting people may still try to claim more money ,and then Barclays will send to my new bank for the debt.
Frankly Barclays should be able to completely obscure 'p'urelift and their companies...what the hell are banks for....THEY must also be held responsible.....for its us who pay their wages.
i really am gutted and very alarmed.
i will keep you updated.

Wow! this is so scary. I find it hard to believe your bank(Barclays) would forward their claims to a new bank.

If I were you I would cancel my debit card ASAP. It is obviously a fraudulent company and will not make attempts to collect more money if you cancel the card they have on file.

yep, I would be closing my account ASAP. this happened to me with a company and lucky for me, my bank caught it before there was any serious damage control. don't feel bad or ashamed about this experience. it can happen to anyone -- we are all susceptible to cons.

I thought it was more difficult to scam a debit card than a credit card. I hope your situation will be resolved quickly. And, thanks for the warning about this company. There are so many scammers out there it's challenging to keep up with them all.

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

Thank you to this website for alerting me that Purelift is now Rejuv. I was just scammed by Rejuv and have tried cancelling by phone at least five times. They always assure me that everything has been cancelled and then I'll get another email asking me to contact customer service to cancel my order. When I try to reply to their emails they bounce back as undeliverable. Also, last night their customer service department left a message on my answering machine at 10:00PM. What reputable company calls at that hour? They said I needed to contact them to cancel my order. What the heck is going on, I've cancelled at least five times? I guess it's their little game to show that they contact people to cancel orders and then probably claim the orders were never cancelled to keep billing everybody? I cancelled my credit card today but was told that if you sign up for auto ship they can sometimes get your new credit card number because of the auto ship laws. Ay yay yay, what a nightmare! I just learned my friend was also scammed by Purelift and has had over $500.00 deducted from her credit card which he does not know if he will ever get back. People, please beware and I am so sorry to the others that have been taken by these complete fraudulent, loser, creeps. I also filed a complaint with the Attorney General in Florida where the company supposedly resides and the Attorney General in California. Don't know if it will do any good but I'm going to keep trying to nail these people.

dingomate, I would file a complaint with the better buisness bureau as well. File with as many that will listen to you. Being scammed is such a horrible thing, especially from the ones that continue taking out of your acct.

Don't feel bad, I think most of us have been in this situation once in our lives-

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

I feel really bad for you secrets! One time I dealt with a company who had the "auto delivery" and when I tried to cancel and that didn't work, I put a stop payment on the company through my bank. Come to find out I couldn't do so cause they charged different amounts each month. The bank says that you can't put a stop payment on amounts that differ from month to month. Of course, my bank said that these companies are aware of this! I ended up having to threaten the company with fraud and this put a stop to it asap! My bank was more than willing to help me with the situation though, so I hope you get all of this straightened out soon! I agree with Gymrat that you should contact the better business bureau as well!

How horrible dingomate, have you tried cancelling in writing? Sometimes these "scam" companies get by with doing this and claim that they need the cancellation in writing. When and if you do put it in writing, be sure to mention the fact that you are getting a lawyer to sue them for FRAUD. It worked for me anyway.

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

Live and learn. If it seems too good to be true....it usually is.

Now at least we are learning the things to watch out for:

-14 day trial offer, etc.
-auto ship
-scammy websites masquerading as 'Product Reviews'....usually they review whatever product you are googling for and at the end they hawk their own product as "much better than...."

Look for sites that offer PayPal as an option. That way at least the vendor doesn't get ahold of your credit card number.

Yes Fawnie, Pay Pal and some banks have a shop safe mode that will make up a phony credit card number that only you and the bank are aware of. You can purchase a product for that price and no other funds will be taken out that you are not authorizing. This works great too, however the best case scenario is to not get" taken" in the first place.

Re: PURELIFT.........AVOID at all costs.

You are both absolutely right, live and learn. I will never order anything from a website that has trial offers or auto ship or anything that looks shady. I have tried several times to write emails to the Re.Juv customer website but as I said they always bounce back. I think I will try writing a letter and sending to their company address. Maybe that's legitimate but somehow I doubt it. I like the idea of threatening to get a lawyer. It just frustrates me that this has to be such a hassle but like you say, live and learn the hard way! I hope others learn from my mistake!
