easily scratched skin

hi, i am 27 years old. just a few years ago my skin was very "elastic" and would not wound easily at all. now, any pointed thing that my skin gets into contact with is enough to wound me. can anybody give me tips on a good diet to go on. or what is missing in my diet that is causing my skin to be very dry and easily wounded.

Your skin is not moisture enough.

I would suggest you to use Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil, where it improves elasticity, supports and nourishes all skin conditions. You can find Elemis Japanese Camelia Oil at docderma.com, click "Moisturizer & Booster" at the left penal.

Re: easily scratched skin

Hi mojoefly,

I think it does sound like your skin is dehydrated (although i'm no expert). I tend to get lots of paper cuts on my hands when i know i've neglected to put hand cream on! I would advise trying some moisturizing baths containing things such as powered goats milk, some olive oil mixed with your favorite essential oil or add some epsom salts into your bath. Try not to have the water too hot as this can dehydrate skin too. Make sure you moisturize after your bath too.

Is it your whole body that seems to get cut easily or just certain parts?

i hope this helps x

Re: easily scratched skin

vaseline or petroloeum should help. But my favourite pick would be castor oil at nights

Speaking of water, try a shower filter. There are so many chemicals in water, and remember the water has to flow through those pipes to get to you. Goodness knows what's in those pipes or what the pipes are made out of. The chlorine in the water alone is enough to really dry out your skin.
