| SCT Veteran | Home-made Masks: EXFOLIATING The exfoliating mask is designed to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin and to encourage the growth of new cells. It helps in increasing blood circulation and brings a glow to the skin. A good home-made Face scrub is made from a mixture of wheat husk or chokker, a few drops of milk and rose water. Apply it to the face. When it is almost dry, rub off the scrub by using circular strokes. Regular use of the scrub also discourages the growth of facial hair. Wash off the face with cold water.

Rep Power: 14 ![]() | Re: Home-made masks: EXFOLIATING Corn flour based facial scrub When used as a base to make facial masks, corn flour is an excellent ingredient if you're dealing with oily skin. Corn flour picks up oil from the skin and traps it, leaving the skin moisturized but with diminished oiliness and shine free. This mask is extremely easy to make. Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of corn flour 1 egg white Mix this two and apply on the face. Wash off after 15 minutes or until dry. While washing, use circular motion so that you can exfoliate the skin and help the circulation of its deeper layers. First apply warm and then cold water. Yogurt based Face Cleanser Ingredients: About 7oz of yogurt 1 tablepoon of lemon juice 1 tablespoon of honey Mix, apply to face and rinse off using a washcloth. Yogurt based Kosher Salt Face Exfoliant This is an easy and inexpensive way to perform pore cleansing and remove the dead skin cells off your face. Ingredients: Kosher salt 3 teaspoons of coconut oil Yogurt Milk Add salt and coconut oil until a paste forms. Put the paste on the face. Be careful not to scratch yourself, don't press to hard. When you are done, rinse off with luke warm water. Mix a bit of yogurt and milk and apply to face. After exfoliating it with salt, milk will provide nourishment and softening your face needs. Honey Based Face Scrub Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of honey 2 teaspoons of finely ground almonds (not salted ones, just regular) 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice Gently rub the face, don't press too hard, you'll scratch yourself |
