I have GROSS pores, and even grosser skin
My face started breaking out a while ago.
But I haven't cared about my skin till it did!
areas such as my nose cheeks are COVERED in billions of tiny little black dots. You guessed it. those are my pores. all nasty and clogged with dirt
My daily routine involves me covering my face in a scalding hot wash cloth, so the steam builds up, and I heard it opens your pores. once the cloth isnt hot anymore I take it off, and rub my special face wash on it, rinse thouroughly, and use an acne pad (its like an alchohol pad) that is supposed to treat and prevent pimples. I finish with a cream that treats the acne
I do this two times every day and my skin is still really gross and I still am covered in clogged pores
I have a facial in a week and a half that should make my skin look really good but I cant wait till then!
I still live with my parents so I dont want to run out to the store and buy special creams as I do not have the time right now.
Do you guys have any good facial mask recipes that will clear my pores up?
It would be nice to have a nice quick and easy alternative to medicine.

If I was you, I would talk to a dermatologist. Ask your parents to set up an appt, it should be covered by your insurance.

You never know, the products and "treatments" you are using on your skin could just be making the condition worse. A dermatologist can tell you what you should and shouldnt be doing.

an egg white mask can help clean and tighten your pores. also, its not good to put a scalding hot towel on your face, you are probably damaging the skin! what you should do to open your pores is take a long (20 min) warm bath or get a large bowl and fill it with hot water and 4 chamomile tea bags and drape a towel over your head as you lean over the hot water in the bowl for a nice steam effect.

yeah but I did the chamomile in hot water thing and made my face as hot and sweaty and wet and I cleaned it and used the medicated pads and it feels and looks a little better.

be careful and dont irritate your skin too much. It can just make the acne worse.

U know, my pores look pretty bad also but keeping them clean and un-oily helps make them look better. I also think that makeup could be helpful

after you steam your face and use a pore scrub you need to close the pores before using any other products. to do this you need rise your face with cool water. this will close the pores and stop you blocking them up again with creams and day to day dirt. xx

Best bet is to see a derm first. As for your routine....you may be doing too much and it might be aggrevating your acne or pores. Usually you should only be using one acne treatment at a time....some can handle more, but alot of time, if you are sensitive, it could make it worse using more than one.

Also....do not use anything with alchohol in it. Start drinking tons of water....this will take some time to see a difference, but you will notice a difference, it will eliminate toxins.

I agree...the facial could either be good or bad. You could try a Sulfur masque once a week or so....use the DDF one...it's great. It's what my esthetician used on me....sulfur is great for clearing pores and acne.

lol. im sure i cant be that bad. i defo think that all those things are making it worse. Try no make up haealthy diet and an antibacterial face wash. How old are you?
