Thanks Gymrat, I've been using Emu quite a while now, for my face (anti aging?) and discovered lately it was also good for my scalp, I try not to use shampoos with Laureth sulfate and Cocamide and probably all kind of chemicals but sometimes they don't mention ALL the ingredients and my scalp get itchy and the emu oil has been so far the best to get rid of the itch and this in one night! How come I haven't thought of it...that is why you are all here! |

Nearly 14 weeks now on Lumigan and I just realized I can go out without eye makeup and feel human! My lashes are long and dark and the slight darkening of the skin just adjacent to the lashes makes them look even fuller. I don't need to wear liner or shadow for everyday wear. In fact, it looks better and more natural WITHOUT eye makeup. I just apply some organic rosehip or pomegranate oil in the am to the lashes and go. BIG improvement on my skimpy blonde lashes!
No discoloration of the irises. It was suggested on EDS that only ppl with some brown in the irises, such as hazel eyes, experience the darkening, but not ppl with blue eyes.

| I'm day 84'ish - so, just coming to the end of week 12. Not OMG lashes yet, but 'goodness me' lashes with mascara! Fawnie, I think you've started week 15, actually. In this thread, you wrote on 10th March that you started Lumigan...

I was reading on another forum about RAPID LASH. I did a search here and nothing came up. Has anyone tried it. It seems this gets rave reviews every where I go to search it.

Well I am seriously thinking of trying the Rapid Lash. If I do I will be sure to take before pics and update. I read mostly glowing reviews for this stuff. Some see a difference in just 3 weeks!

| There's a good thread at EDS on this, and I've noticed it too. I'm just a little cynical, because although the price seems better - the amount you get is half what you would get from, say, Lilash.
Also, I'm puzzled as to why it seems to work so fast - and note that it has (I think I am correct?) some kind of prostaglandin derivative. Will supply name if you wish, unless you already have it?
In other words, it has an affiliation with other prostaglandin based lash growth products - but seems to work faster. I just wonder how and why...
I guess I just don't understand enough chemistry!
But, yes, I know at least 2 people who are very pleased with their results so far - and I'd love to know how you get on if you decide to order Rapidlash

Well I ordered it a few min ago. When I say I have NO lashes I am not kidding. Even with mascara they are hardly there. I will be sure to take before pics with no mascara and see for myself also how I get along with this. I will take a pic a week so I can see for myself! Will keep you all updated.

I was looking into Eyelash growth because I started having some small segments of eyelash "balding". It scared me. I decided to try Revitalash. I purchased a tube from Ebay, which was the best price I found, at the time. My eyelashes have grown longer and all the bald areas have filled in (Thank God!). It took about 2 to 3 weeks to see a distinct difference. Now I use it 2 to 3 times a week, and I still have had the same tube for over 5 months. Many at work have complimented me on my lashes...Mascara actually behaves normally, and I do not have to separate each lash to try and cover up for missing lashes!

Welcome Vanessa, WOW this was quick for you to see a distinct difference. I'm on Lumigan going on week 6, but I think it will take a while for me because I only do this every 2 days because my eyelids were too itchy, by doing every 2 days the itch is not as strong and I also put emu oil to calm the itch. When I will have my eyelashes back, I will never use mascara, this is how I lost them!

I tried the Rapidlash one night and I woke up the next morning with very red eyes and they did itch a little. I thought maybe I got some in my eyes as I am usually not sensitive to anything. Will try again soon as I would hate to have to throw away this stuff was quite costly. I am not one that used eyeliner so I may have got it in my eyes, doesn't help my hand is quite shaky also!

Yes, don't give up yet, goatlady! A lot of people get red eyes with the lash growth thingies - and just rest a day or two and start again, being carefull to apply the smallest amount.
You can also do it in the morning instead if you prefer (and some people do).
Keep us posted!

At night my eyes are watering, I guess I'm too tired and this makes Lumigan goes in my eyes! In the morning I don't have this problem.
