Is it true that false eyelashes can take your natural lashes off? How can they do this?

the glue that you apply it with. when you remove them, if your not careful, it will actually take some of your lashes. I don't worry about it though, my lashes always fall off and grow back its hardly noticeable.

IF you can even get them on!!! falsies are soooo hard to apply. have you heard about the eyelash extensions you can get in a salon that last like 3 weeks and look so good you dont even need mascara!!! omg i would LOVE that!!

I ususally get a friend to apply them or my mother. Kind of a swap thing. They last 3 weeks if you don't mess with them. I play with my eyelashes a lot for some weird reason so it would be of no use to get them. The other kind, I take off nightly. When I had first started wearing them I left them on overnight. So, I wake up and while I'm blinking I feel something on my eyes and I reach up automatically and pull at it. I realize that its the lashes and I ended up going to school w/ it hanging halfway off!

they attach it like hair extensions. you lay there without moving your eyelid as much as possible and they like, sew on the lashes. they look very real!

OMG, it sounds painful. I'd be a little scared to have that done.

i mean they dont put it on the skin or anything, they just attach it to the lashes. anyways, i think i could handle it since i put on eye makeup all the time and wear contacts so im used to having things close to my eyes?

With them on you shouldn't have to wear mascara. Why don't you just buy the cheaper ones and have someone apply them for you?

Laura on the Jeff and Jer morning show in San Diego had eyelash extensions put on a few months ago, but they didn't work out for her. I tried to find the pictures in the archives, but was unable to locate them. False eyelash instructions just posted on Beauty Tips, topics A-L on Skincareteacher.com |

that's true, but what about when no one is there to do it? Do it yourself! If you can get the hang of it I guess...

I tried the individual ones once - they were a pain in the arse but looked pretty cool. Also a pain to get off!

| SCT Senior | One Funny Story
Hee Hee Hee-I have a great falsies story. It was my first attempt at using them and after a few tries I got it down. So I continued to apply the rest of my MU and get ready for my evening out. Long story short I get home a bit dizzy from the cool air and the loud music and great people. I go to wash my MU off and I can't seem to figure out why one eye looks different that the other? I then realize my eyelash was missing!! Out of the corner of my eye I see this thing dangling from my hair and freak out thinking it's a spider so I start squealing and swatting only to realize it was my eyelash!! OMGoodness!! I couldn't stop laughing at myself. I hope you guys can laugh w/me and not at me |

bad cat....that story was classic. Something I would soooo find myself doing and then laughing about it. I tend to laugh at myself often....good to know we think we are funny.... EDIT: by the way...I love false eye lashes....think they add a real umph....whats the word? I have falsies on in my avatar....but you can't really see them that well.

okkkkkkkk i tried some falsies today and i guess i got it too close to my eye cuz my eye kind of felt like it was burning though the burning eventually went away, i only got it perfect on my right eye. on my left eye it was kind of attached to the lashes instead of the skin and that one burned my eye too and my eyes were getting all teary and so finally i was like SCREW IT and i just took them off. but when i was taking them off it hurt soooo freakin bad and i still dont have all the glue off. so my question is, is there some kind of falsie glue remover that makes it come off real fast? cuz if not i dont think ill be trying falsies again for a verrrry longgggg time! |
