| | Looking for a concealer that WORKS for dry skin
I'm seventeen and have recently got into make-up a little bit more. I've got a nice foundation, which I use now and again, but my next mission is to find a decent concealer (this is proving impossible!) Firstly I tried the brand 17 - their liquid concealer was appalling and basically did nothing. Their foundation, however, I found great.
Anyhow, I moved on and tried L’Oreal touch magique -this made me look like a racoon. I ended up returning it and they didn’t have the right colour for me. I also found it very drying.
Last time I was in Boots I also tried the Urban Decay concealer pencil - again, I found it drying and it actually drew attention to the dark circles under my eyes, rather than concealing them. So I’m beginning to wonder whether it’s me rather than the concealers. I do have quite dry skin - even after moisturizer. Is there anything out there which will be more easily blend able for me and suited to dry skin? I’m mainly looking to obliterate those pesky dark circles.
Help appreciated.

You need a good exfoliant and moisturizer.
Here are some concealers that arent too drying.
Paulas Choice concealer
Kryolan Dermacolor palette
Also, try warming up the concealer with your ring finger before applying.

Methinks liquid concealers don't really work for dry skin. They always exaggerate lines and disappear somewhere. Cream, stick and other thick stuff works better, at least for me. I'm testing Shiseido Correcting Pencil right now, its thick and waxy, but when I blend it with a brush it looks good (and it has warm shades, not pink/beige). But it doesn't last very long, maybe it need a setting powder on top.
Biotherm Forget It! is a good liquid concealer, they also have some nice ones in their men's line.
Anyways I like iluminators/highlighters better for eye area. Dior Skinflash is my favorite, very lightweight, can be used on top of foundation, concealer or on it's own.

Scatteredstar- I really like Dior Skinflash too. I don't use it so much as a concealer. I use it more as a highlighter/brightener.
For a concealer I like Time Balm. It did take me awhile to figure out how to get it to work right, but once you do, it does what it says, conceals GREAT!!! A little goes a long way!!

You guys are way over MY head. Well, maybe Holland is ripe for something "fawnie" by now. Surely there are kindred spirits everywhere!
OK! Paris it is!!! Parlez-vous Français..... anyone?
Plus, do we like French food?
