Re: Hi is anyone using or used Pigmanorm?

Hi,
I started Pigmanorm 1 months ago. After the first peeling(4-5 days later),my skin looked much better. Some of the spots were gone, others turned from brown to yellow, pale and unnoticed.Wish I stopped there.I decided to conitnue and now not only all of them got back but they also look more brown than before.I still do have little hope that my skin prepares to peel off again, but if not...I really don't know what to do.Today I heard again comments about my brown cheeks,so I'm very sad, sorry.

Re: Hi is anyone using or used Pigmanorm?

Hello Elena,

I'd suggest you visit your dermatologist and discuss with him/ her about it. He/ she will be able to advise you on what to do next. However, during the treatment the skin is very sensitive and it can reverse back to its brown colour if you are not being extremely careful with the sun. You need to wear sunscreen all the time. I wore mine (and still do) 24/7. Also, the treatment works better in the winter months when the sun is not so bright! If you do it in the summer, apply sunscreen every 2/3 hours (if you are in the sun) and wear a hat always!
However, this might not be the best treatment for you, maybe a tretinoin treatment will be better, which helps the rejuvenation of skin. There are many creams your doctor can prescribe with only tretinoin and not any bleaching agent. These treatments last longer, about a year, though!

Re: Hi is anyone using or used Pigmanorm?

Hi all
Back in July i did a post which said how please i was with the results of using this cream. However after 5 days of not using it melasma came back. I made an appointment to see my dermatologist who told me to reuse it for a 8wk period then to use retin a for a 3 month period then to go back to the pigmanorm. Again within in a few days of not using pigmanorm the melasma returned and to my dissapointment the retin a as made no difference. Anyone else had the same results?
Im going 2 make an appointment to c my dermatologist again which i think he may suggest a skin peel. Any advice off anyone would be greatfully excepted.

Re: Hi is anyone using or used Pigmanorm?

Hi,
As my spots became darker and biger, actually they blured into a big brown-ashy area(very ugly),I decided not to use creams with hq.Now I'm trying to turn the time back.Good luck to all using pigmanorm, but I do need cure, not short-term results.
Right now I'm giving my skin a break, trying to revive it and I stay away from mirrors.I'm taking herbs for liver detox, sometimes apply homemade mask with milk and leaven, organic vinegar ,tumeric and lemon.I still wear non stop sunscreen, but I have mixed feelings about it,because my melasma started when I was wearing Avene 50+ non stop and hiding from the sun like a vampire.I'll keep wearing it because I believe my skin is fotosensitive now after the use of hq.I'm thinking about hydrogen peroxide and horseridish mask(not at the same time of course).Karmitsa,I used to read that vit.A supports hyperpigmantation and better use vit.C instead.Too many information so you get confused what is right ot false...However,I'll keep in mind your advice, thank you!
My derm suggests laser, dermabrasio, but I declined as I have seen bad or no results on my friends with melasma.
