Re: face shine

You should check with your doctor to make sure you dont have Melasma on your face. Melasma is when you get the brown areas on the skin after pregnancy. Its also sometimes called Pregnancy mask.

Re: face shine

Are you getting rest... of course not, what a question!
Are you eating right? ... of course not... what was I thinking?
Are you washing and caring for your skin... of course not... I know better.

I have five wonderful children... that have kept me from "myself" at different times in my life.

Check out your health first... but realize that if you are drained, your face is going to look drained. Vitiamins, minerals, fresh food, fresh air, lots and lots of water... I mean: YOU GOT TO MAKE A HUGE EFFORT TO DRINK PURE WATER ALL DAY!!! These will help your skin and your energy and health...

But remember... they are only young once and your shine will come back if it's rest related. God bless you!

Mineral makeup with a setting powder will give you a natural look with a healthy glow.

Re: face shine

Some easy things you can do in the interim are:
  1. Use a product with a skin lightening ingredient in it (like Paula's Choice skin lightener with the BHA ingredient in it).
  2. If you are going to do # 1, you have to use a sunscreen daily, otherwise don't waste your money & effort doing #1. (It has to be a truly stable/effective sunscreen, like cetaphil SPF 15 or keihl's vital sun SPF 15, or something with TiO2 and/or ZnO - the higher the %, the better).
  3. Stay out of the sun, particularly during peak sun hours (10 AM to 3 AM).

Thumbs up Re: face shine

Rose Monsoon Hydrating Mist (dehydration)
Description
In Eastern traditions, the aroma of the Thousand-petalled Rose promotes strength and vitality enhances harmony and balance.
Why
Saturated with water-soluble botanicals present in the petals, rosewater has many uses. Spray over make-up for a dewy complexion. Perfect for rehydrating and invigorating your skin. Perfect for air-conditioned environments, such as offices and aircraft.
How
Holding the bottle at arm’s length, spray a gentle mist around the face to cleanse the aura, calm the soul and rehydrate the complexion.
When
Whenever you and your skin are feeling stressed!

Reflect Outdoor Balm
Description
A water-free nourishing balm with natural minerals that help reflect damaging ultraviolet radiation. Microfine zinc oxide offers protection from harmful rays whilst organic olive oil keeps the skin supple. Potent antioxidants including natural vitamin E, beta carotene and polygonum extract, protect the skin from premature aging and prevent damage caused by the elements.
Why
We all love the outdoors – nothing makes us feel more alive than having fun in the elements. Whether it be pounding through the salty surf, shooshing down powdery ski runs, or just throwing a ball with the kids in the park; if you’re out in the sunshine, you need to protect your skin.
How
Apply generously to skin surfaces exposed to sunlight 20 minutes before exposure. Reapply every two hours. Store below 30oC / 86oF
When
Any time you’re outdoors, exposed to the elements.
