Was using Triluma, now differin..I am burnt and its not working..advice?

Hi everyone,

I am 30 and have melasma. I get spots on my face all over the place and because of my job..need them gone. I LOVE Triluma! I used it for the last two years. My dermo didnt refill my prescription so he gave me Differin (now, Ive never had a pimple in my life) he said that it can help with my sun spots and help with wrinkles.

I have been using it for about month and OMG I am NOT good! I have gotten red sores on some areas of my face, looks like a scab I would pick off, and throughout the day day I literally have skin peeling off of my face like a snake...all tight and burning. Its been like this for two weeks, still peeling in places. I have tried to use the differin and switch every other night with ROC retinol cream or a Vitamin C cream. I am so dry and red and scaly, even makeup will not cover it. I have been asked if I even had a dermabrasion! I am so dry and tight that I am getting wrinkles and feel like I have a mask on!

So..I have to discontinue the differin. Ordered Hydro 4% online and Retin A .1% online. Will this take away my spots since the Differin is seeming to ruin my skin?

thanks,
lvgirl

It could be the combo of Differn, Vita C, and Retinol. Those are all very harsh, drying, and irritating products, that cause skin turnover. You are doing too much. Tryin Using only one of the three, and cut down your usage to every other day.

IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is another alternative to hyperpigmentation (freckles, sun spots, age spots).
