I'm only excited about winter because I can do TCA peels again.

Is anyone else on board? Who wants to have a TCA party?

Ha! I figured you would be game Gymrat. Let me know when you're game and we can do one together. I'm all about the shoulders right now but I'll do at least one face/forehead!
count me in!! Although I need another 2 month for weather to be suitable for peels in UAE
Ok.........what % will you be using?? i am going to gear up for this.......... Crumpet what % are you using on your shoulders?? I am going to give this a shot, fall is the perfect time because I can keep my shoulders covered right now!! Give me details :woot:

Hi @gymrat -- I'm going to do 1-2 layers of 15% (see how layer 1 goes). I think I over-layer if I do 10%. I can probably do it in a few weeks but I'm pretty flexible. The thing to be sure of is to have comfortable bras because the straps can hurt! I try not to do too deep a peel anyway, but certainly for that reason.

When are you ready to do one? I'm excited to gear up for this!

Runs to look at TCA stash. Have to be sure I have 15%, if not I will order some.

TCA can cause hyperpigmentation if too strong of a peel is done for your specific skin type and color. The darker the skin, the lighter the peel. I would be careful. Have you considered LA peels??

Hi I'm new, just wanted to know if I was doing la peels at 30 %can I still use kojie San twice a day or would I have to refrain from it. Plus when I get to start using lightning creams are nadinola extra strength carotein cream carotein lotion and carotein toning gell all okay to use together ? Extremely sorry to bug u all I have tried searching for the info but not really finding the answers I'm looking for. I'm looking at going lighter about 4 shades at least can someone please guide me the right direction btw I am of pakistani origin and have dry sensitive skin

I would refrain from using Kojie the day of doing your LA peel, but the following day and there after you will be fine to use it. As for your other questions, feel free to ask those in the Skin Lightening section of the forum. Here is the link, at the top look for the "green" box, it contains links for newbies like yourself and explains things in detail there for you http://www.skincaretalk.com/f/23/skin-lightening Here is also another thread you might find helpful for those of the pakistan decent. Hope this helps!! And welcome to the forum :) http://www.skincaretalk.com/t/36700/any-indian-bengali-or-pakistani-member

lol yea me too but you know I learnt from the best am really excited to use my tca on my hands I bought the 15%
I can't wait to hear how it works for you Shenice. You may have to double layer it. Give one layer a try and see if you get any movement with it. If not, double layer it. But do let me know when you decide to take the plunge
I want to use it on my b*tt, knee and hands.
TCA ranges from 8% to 30% strengths.......I recommend you do some reading up on the different chemical peels before you decide which one you want to use. They all work differently some more aggressive than others. But its important that you know the difference and what you are getting into BEFORE you apply it. After all, it is an acid.......

Yep, apply one layer, wait 5 mins, then apply your next layer..........my guess is you won't frost with one layer, if you do, then only do one layer. I have never frosted and I use 18%. The back of your hands is tougher skin than the skin on your face...........and takes a little bit longer to get it too budge.

24% is too hight for your face u might probably end up burning your face I think u should use a lower % @gymrat will know the best % to use on the face

Hi Gymrat, The only areas that look bruised are the areas that frosted over.  No, not a purple color more like a brown looking color.
That's what you want, from there it will begin to peel, it may continue getting even darker before peeling. I'm truly shocked these areas frosted, typically tougher skin there. Good for you. You will peel nicely.

Been waiting for the winter to get here to do my TCA ...did my hands 3 days ago 24% the joints frosted real quick and after 3 minutes I neutralized them with baking soda/water solution.

I applied the15% TCA on my face two days ago .I started with my forehead frosted within 2 mins.My Chinese fan helped but I only lasted another minute.I woke up with a big dark spot and my Aquaphor (eucerin) has helped a lot in calming my skin down.

I did my right cheek yesterday and my left cheek today (2 layers) not much frosting there. My nose is another story..looks like I dipped it in a freshly made Latte...super frosting but after neutralizing, It doesn't look too bad....Now I'm just waiting to peel before enjoying my turkey in a few days .

My hands are looking crazy bad, even my 94 year old grandma's hands are not this crinkly and wrinkled.I can't ever get used to the look !!

I hear you on the bacne...I wish I had bacne and not acne ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .I'm dealing with some discolorations and blemishes right now.
TCA will definitely help with scars.Prepping my skin with LA peel is what makes a difference although this time I opted for mandelic acid.

You're real lucky that your face is perfect..that is where the cameras will be aiming for on your soon to be most memorable day of your life :)
