So I want to do my first ever peel with Lactic Acid. But before I go on and order the 40% LA peel kit from MUAC, I would really like to find out if there is a difference between LA peels and LA lotions apart from the concentration of Lactic Acid. I am already using Amlactin lotion which has 12% LA. So if I add 88% LA lotion to increase the concentration to say 40% then will it become a peel? If not, then is there an easy way to make my own LA peel using 88% LA lotion? I want to use the peel on my arms, neck, feet and knees. So I will probably need a larger quantity and hence am looking for cheaper options. Your expert opinions are greatly appereciated!
your ok posting as a new thread, no worries there. As for the difference in LA peel vs LA lotion, your LA lotion is diluted with a base lotion and is used at a much weaker strength compared to LA peel which if you wanted to make your own you would dilute it with lactic acid and distilled water.
Do you have lactic acid? If so what strength is it? If you are saying you have 88% lactic acid "solution " in order to dilute it down to 44% peel, mix equal parts, so 1 tsp of lactic mixed with 1tsp of distilled water will give you 44% lactic peel. I hope this is making sense, if not just ask!
I checked essential whole sale site. They charge 6 dollars for the lactic acid and 11 for the shipping. I would order it tho if it is as good as the muac one because is a bigger quantity. How is it?
Are you asking about their actual "lactic acid" or their lactic acid peel?? Also there are other places that carry lactic acid if that is what you are looking for. MUAC has lactic peels but not just plan lactic acid.....other places to look, IF you are looking for just lactic acid is Lotioncrafters and Bulkactives. If its a peel your looking for, then let me know and I will direct you to those sellers as well. Just don't want to confuse you more
Thank you! Yes I'm looking for lactic acid 88 so I can do what u guys do, dilute with distilled water to make a peel. Seems like I could save a lot more money than if I were to buy the ready one at muac.
Lactic acid is out of stock at bulkactives.and lotion crafters is selling it for 20 for 20 ounces and and then 12 for shipping so 32. essential wholesale is best price wise because for 16 oz u spend only 6 and shipping is 11, 17 dollars total. But is it the same quality? Prices seems too good to be true
So I ended up buying the one from essential wholesale but instead of 1 pound I got 3.5 pounds and I only spent 17 for the product and shipping because I used a ten dollar shipping coupon :marchmellow:
YAHOO, that's my kind of shopper. A $10 coupon is great!! Sorry i didn't answer sooner, @mention me next time I will see it much sooner, hope I didn't mess things up for you time wise.
