aha! That's cold! LOL! I kinda don't tell them. I try to endure it so I won't hurt their feelings. Or I just offer them gum or a mint.

Re: Home-Remedies: BAD BREATH

I used to get tonsil stones that caused really funky breath. They are caused by bacteria building up in your tonsils. Most people dont even know they have them until a doc checks their tonsils out.

you can't feel them or anything? or are they a certain color?

I'm not gonna lie I have bad breath sometimes, especially when I go for a long while without eating or when I first wake up.

You might be able to feel them if your tongue is really long and you can get it back there near the tonsils. I was able to sometimes "dig" a little piece of the stone out using my tongue. The stones are white and soft and stink REALLY BAD.

Is THAT what those things are? I've gotten them from time to time - would feel kind of scratchy back there and almost gag trying to get them out. They aren't hard at all and yes white. But I've never had the nerve to just smell them! What causes them?

There were those BreathAssures - I think they have parsley oil in them actually. Supposedly works from the inside.

Whenever I encounter someone that has "nasty" breath I INSIST on them taking a mint or piece of gum from me! If they say No thank you, I tell them No - really take it. They get the hint then!

Then there are some were NOTHING will help - they excude odor from every pore.

Wow....I'm like notorious for not liking stinky breath. I'm always on my kids....you didn't brush this morning did you....kinda mean, but if Mom don't say it.....someone else will and be mean about it.

And when someone gets too close with ranchid breathe.....man I can barely handle it. Sorry, my 3 cents.....

Like that commercial where they are on a plane and this guy is sleeping and leans over onto neighbor passenger - she looks over is like AHHHH and takes one of those Listerine things and puts in his mouth! LOL carry some of those around and if/when you meet someone - tell them to open wide and pop one in! (and run)

Or something like that....yes. LOL! I think people don't realize too, that after they floss....you need to brush again or use mouthwash....cuz after you get the stinky bacteria stirred around from flossing....then it's stinky breath all over again.

Yup they are called tonsil stones even though they are soft. Next time try taking a wiff... it is the most horrible smell ever. It is hard to believe something so small can stink so bad! I think they are caused by bacteria getting trapped in the tonsils. But I am not sure.

Re: Home-Remedies: BAD BREATH

My breath is fine after brushing its just after certain foods or if I don't eat for hours that it smells. But its not enough to kill ya! That's why I don't knock people when they do have bad breath but I do offer them gum or a mint. See, being nice!
