BEWARE POSTERS

I posted this in the skincare forum, but I'm gonna post it here as well.

I just wanted to inform everyone about what I've seen going on here:
Sometimes, when people ask questions about skin problems that they have, sellers will try to recommend their products to the OP (original poster) under the pretense of a fellow poster.

This has also occurred on another skincare forum in which a poster, who was later discovered to be a sales representative, tried to push another poster to buy Fair and Flawless.

So, if someone seems overly enthusiastic about a beauty product, then you may want to check things out first before buying. It's okay to recommend a product or brand, but if you see that all of someone's posts consistenlty recommend the SAME product or brand, then red flags should fly.

Re: BEWARE POSTERS

Thanks for posting. As stated above, common sense applies. It gets kind of annoying to read similar post about the same products/manufacturers over and over again. Maybe admin can delete those or PM a warning.

Re: BEWARE POSTERS

I've noticed this sometimes, I know when I used to be promoting Arbonne, I'd recommend a variety of things....not all Arbonne.

I too feel red flags when it is the only thing someone recommends.

Thanks for the heads up.

Re: BEWARE POSTERS

But kelly, I totally trust you, and I could take advice from you because you don't just come here to advertise. You also come here to help other posters. However, there are some posters who come here simply to market their products, which I don't think is good.

ooooh I better be careful then.

Just so you guys know if I talk about a certain product a lot (Skyn Iceland) it's b/c I LOVE it!!

I'm not a seller nor do I have anything to gain but great skin and that's what I'd like for everyone.

Re: BEWARE POSTERS

You cna tell if someone is a seller if they are promoting some small company really hard. But usually when people recommend a big brand, they are being honest because I doubt that member works for the company.

ahhhh....thank you. i do my best to be genuine and not promote one certain thing....beleive me, not any one company has the best of everything....heck there were things i liked in arbonne and things i wasn't so fond of....that goes for sooooo many companies as well. i just try to be honest.

Re: BEWARE POSTERS

It has been noticed by me many times that sales representative post
message with their product posters. They can tell us all plus point of their
product without posters when someone has problem related to that.
