How about a pop up that prompts us of a new PM. I think people don't generally look and see they have new PM's and miss them sometimes.

Doesn't it ususally prompt you when you log onto the site or refresh a page? That's usually how I know I have one or I just go check manually.

I manually check it...look up and see. But everytime I log on...heck it's only been 3 days....it auto signs me in (I did the 'remember me' thing).

Great suggestions! I definitely want to get these implemented in the near future. Right now we just want to keep things as simple as possible so new visitors can easily learn how the forums work and not get overwhelmed.

You should see a popup when you have new PMs. If you do not , you can set the option by going into your control panel and choosing:

Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up


Also, when you login, you can click the "remember me" checkbox to keep yourself logged in everytime you visit the site.

I think that if you make it too much like other forums this one wont be unique. I love talking about make up and skin care and hair care all of the time. We need smilies and maybe an abbreviation section and I do think a picture place would be fun.
