| Down Over Stretch Marks
Well, I stumbled on this forum not too long ago and decided I would Share my story. I am a 23 year old male and im depressed because of my stretch marks. About 5 months ago I was In a bad car accident and in the hospital for about a month. I was on different medications during and after my stay which caused me to gain a bit of weight, about 30 pounds, in a short period. Also, before the accident I was always active and athletic, and being injured, I was unable to do those activities for some time. Now it is 5 months later and I have lost the weight, and then some, and I am left with stretch marks on my shoulders, biceps, hips and butt. To make matters worse, about a month ago my girlfriend left me saying she did not find me attractive anymore. Now me self-esteem is at an all time low and Im not sure what to do. ANy input/support would be appreciated. | |

Aww....constable..that's cold! I'm sure glad you survived the wreck tho!! While stretch marks are troublesome, you know what: lots of women have them and could certainly sympathize if a guy she loved had them too! Not all women are that heartless. More fish in the sea, hon. Read some of the suggestions here. Retin-A, lasers, dermabrasion all can help.

Hey welcome to the site Constable, glad to here you survived, sorry to hear you are wearing the scars...I've got them to and mine looked like I sufferd a feral animal attack- yes that bad....but now they aren't as bad. there are methods to reduce if not get rid of entirely, let's see what we can do for you....

you could try these:... trilastin, elastin3 cream, belli oil, trimedica msm cream if they sound too expensive they probably are but they work. but there are some inexpensive ones you could try. like Shea butter, cocoa butter and so on...... by the way i'm glad you recovered but look at it this way if not for the accident you wouldn't know she never meant you any good....... don't be torn up i have them too hips, butt, thigh, legs  | |

I don't have any solutions to your problem but I feel for you losing your GF over stretchmarks. How large are these marks? Could tanning them help at all? How about tattooing?  | |
