Has anyone else experienced eczema related to wheat/ gluten consumption? I battled with it for years. I was at my wit's end, trying numerous products and different diets. Once I just committed to a gluten free diet, it vanished. I have not seen it since. Curious to know if others have had similar reactions, or perhaps an idea to try if you are currently dealing with eczema. It's incredibly frustrating, and I've been there!
I've had eczema since childhood. Just recently I found out about the gluten + eczema connection. I was tested for a gluten allergy but it was negative. How long were you gluten free before it disappeared?
I have a son who has excema and we were told Asthma was directly correlated to it. At 7, he was diagnosed with Asthma. We have not had a gluten test, should we??
My son suffered from eczema until about 18 months when we had him allergy tested. He was allergic to dairy and eggs. Once we eliminated those from his diet, it completely cleared up.
I would say, there is definitely a correlation between food allergies and eczema.
