Bare Minerals Prep Step?

Thread: Bare Minerals Prep Step?

    Question Bare Minerals Prep Step?

Can I get thoughts on the ingredients of this please?

Also, what % of Zinc provides good protection if my only exposure to sun is driving to and from work (10 minutes each way)? I know the higher the better, but is there a % below which it becomes not effective? 15%? 10?

I think the high Zinc SS may be messing with my make-up texture so I'm wondering if a lower % of Zinc will help (but I still need good SS b/c I use RA, peels etc.).

Hi @Learning1 in the winter I can get away with using 8-10% zinc sunscreen, when its summer I wear 15% and higher. Depending on your climate that is what I would go by.

As for the Bare Minerals Prep it looks like a great product!

Thanks! I guess I'll stick with a high zinc % since I'm in the south. Can you please tell me if the ingredients in this Drunk Elephant SS look good (other than the 20% zinc). I got samples of both and so far, I like them both. But leaning towards Drunk Elephant since its a better deal for the money.

Is there a big difference in protection between 20% vs. 23.8% zinc?

@Learning1 Drunk Elephant has great ingredients. I've tried it last summer. Give it a go!

^ Thanks @gymrat ! I think I'm going to buy the Drunk Elephant. I like this and the BM Prep Step equally but the Drunk Elephant is a better value money wise.
