    Does water remove moisturizer?

If you splash water on your face and let it air dry, would it remove any of the moisturizer?

Yes , it would. Especially if ur moisturiser is water based.

Thank you for answering. I was under the impression that the moisturizer is absorbed by the skin, hence not removable

Like mentioned above by Aime, if water based, yes splashing would remove it. If you are trying to get a clean slate, I would advise you to use a cleanser of some sort.

If you choose a proper moisturizer it should absorb, but it also has to be removable, hence the reason we cleanse our face.
