Re: My gift to those with uneven skin tone due to dark marks

Leaving the suds on is the key. Despite the weird colour & texture of this soap, it is helping speed lightening. It exfoliates well, leaving a smooth canvas for the creams. Mine has both the papaya & the kojic. I plan to buy more.

Congrats man. You got any progress pics? I'd like to see how well it has been working for you up to this point. I definitely need to try this soap.

Re: My gift to those with uneven skin tone due to dark marks

I haven't been getting any further improvements than I got initially but the soap has had no bad effects on me. Like Ondine said, you gotta leave it on for a few minutes. Also, be sure to use a good sunscreen with SPF of 30 or more (I use 85).

I recently bought a gel called NeoCeuticals Skin Brightening Gel and it has been working wonders for me. I recently relocated and my face got bad again for a week or 2 (more dust, among other things surrounding me now). It has cleared my face up well and I'm still using the Likas Papaya Soap. I have no clue what St Likas is, mine just says Likas. I'll have some pics up when I get a chance.

The NeoCeuticals Skin Brightening Gel cost almost $40 for me, but well worth it imo. I personally make it a point to stay away from hydroquinone products and this one doesn't have any. Be careful to order the right product, because there's another one that comes with hydroquinone. That one will actually say HQ on the name. Also, you can google search for the ingredients of a product. If you want to know if it has kojic acid in it, type it in google along with kojic acid and if it shows matches, make sure the product is listed the EXACT way you typed it, otherwise you're most likely using the wrong product.

Re: My gift to those with uneven skin tone due to dark marks

I will go check this product out, Jose. Thanks again for showing up & sharing your experiences. The Likas soap is different from most soaps I've tried. It doesn't burn & irritate like some of the acidic soaps but it still exfoliates very well. The best thing about it for me is that it doesn't leave a 'film' on the skin (which would negatively affect the absorption of the lightening cream). Those using those oily body washes would do well to switch. Likas soap leaves NOTHING on your skin but your skin.

I just got back from checking out the product. It is by Neo Strata! They make great stuff. No misleading ads with extravagant claims or whiter than white supermodels. Just the product details. The ingredients list is impressive! When I first began lightening in Jan, I was using their products too & with good results. What got me was the cost since I am lightening all over; not just a few uneven areas. I was using their HQ+ cream. Verry good, but too expensive for all over use.

Kinda blurry but it's the best I have for now.

Re: My gift to those with uneven skin tone due to dark marks

Even with the blurriness, your complexion looks much more even that it was in your 'before' the Likas soap photo. Are you looking to even up yout dark spots to match the rest of your skin or are you looking to even the colour then lighten all over?

I am very happy with the even results I'm getting from the mono 20%. I ran out last Thu, but I'm expecting my new shipment early this week. In the meantime, I'm using the HQ4% during the interim & being mercenary re. the sun & sunblock. Next time I'll reorder sooner!

Well, then you'll likely achieve your goal rapidly with the NeoCeutical.

Re: My gift to those with uneven skin tone due to dark marks

Thanks for the feedback Jose.

I am still using it but not as regularly as I should. It hasn't lightened the skin but it is leaving it smoother than before. I dig it.

Right now, I am using:
Likas soap
Fair & Flawless "Super Spot Remover" diluted with lotion (too strong)
Ambi "Even & Clear" Targeted Mark Minimizer
SPF55 "Natural" sunblock

Just started using the Ambi. Seems to be working quite well actually. I already started cutting down on the Fair & Flawless. Might cut it out all together....

WOW! Are you ever looking fantastic: like a better looking version of Jay-Z. Nice even glow on your cheeks & forehead: you don't appear dried out at all. The greyish black blotches have disappeared! Good for YOU! BTW, do you play a musical instrument? You have hands like a musically inclined person (my son & my 2 brothers all play guitar & have thoae musician's hands). Thanks again for the candid photo. Few people are brave enough to do that.
