Got the soap on Tuesday. Been using it twice a day since yesterday.
Not expecting miracles but really hoping that it will help to fade my melasma !! Will report in a couple weeks |

| I don't know anything about any gel.
I wouldn't suggest putting this soap near the eyes but I'm not an expert on that. I have dark spots under my eyes as well and I use something called Zia Eye Cream SPF 15. It's about 20 dollars at the most and it works pretty well.

Bluebird87, if your hyperpigmentation is due to a hormonal imbalance, your melanocytes will continue to be hyperactive & the problem will persist. Please see an endocrinologist & balance your hormones from the inside. Then, you'll be able to treat the existing excess melanin & get real results w/o the problem returning faster than you can treat it. As you take whatever hormonal supplements your Dr. prescribes, use the Likas papaya soap. There's a prescription cream called Triluma (contains both HQ & RA) that is particularly effective for treating hyperpigmentation due to melasma. Good luck to you!

ive been using papaya soap since.. 21/01/10 haha. on my face and on my body. my face used to be darker than the back of my hands. and now they're the same color i guess my face lightens faster. it does lighten me, i guess.
and i haven't gone out yet since that day, so i haven't face the sun yet. i am going too, soon. and i haven't found the best moisturizer with SPF.
and oh i use it on my body cos i wanna lighten the dark areas. and the ones on my knees peeled off yesterday.
i really think it works |

I would still recommend the Likas though.

Glad to see you're still around, Jose! You really began a trend here with the LIKAS. I'm addicted to it. I loooove that squeaky clean skin feeling it gives me.

Hi Ondine, Karen and everyone else
I'm personally not using the Likas anymore, nor am I using the Neoceuticals. I'm not saying anything bad about them but I found products that has worked even better for me. They are more expensive but well worth it.
What I'm using now is the glutathione soap I posted ($25.00 including shipping) along with Obagi Professional-C serum 20% ($92.50).
I tried to take a pic with my phone but the quality is terrible, I'll have one up as soon as I can though. My face is much clearer now and the Obagi has made it incredibly smooth as well. High price but well worth it. Plus the site I got it from comes with a 60 day money back guarantee so there really is nothing to lose.
I'm actually taking advantage of that and getting a refund on my last unopened Neoceuticals. Once again, the Neoceuticals is still a good product that I would still recommend but I prefer the Obagi more. This should eliminate any further speculation that I'm in any way advertising these products for any personal/financial gain.
And yea I'm still here Ondine, I have my email set up to where I get a notification every time this thread becomes active again so I come back to help those who ask. Therefore, no one needs to feel discouraged if they have a question for me. I will continue to come back to answer any questions any of you have as we are all in this skin care war together.
To both veteran and new members, please feel free to keep the questions/comments coming

Glad you're still around, Jose. I personally didn't think you were a company rep. I didn't get that smarmy vibe from you. I'm glad you've found something you like even more & I'll be watching for your update photos. As for myself, the more I use the Likas, the more I love it. It cleans like crazy.
