Re: Hyper pigmentation

Get an IPL photofacial. It costs about $200 to $300 a treatment, but it eliminates freckles and dark spots completely. It may take two or three treatments, but it's the only thing that I have found to completely work without applying expensive daily creams.

Re: Hyper pigmentation

Jessica, though retin-a is well applauded on this site but be careful how you use it. read the instruction thoroughly and follow it to the last letter, it is very potent, also start with a lower strength and work your way up. I got burnt from misusing it so please be careful!

Re: Hyper pigmentation

i am ever the supporter of tretinoin so just do that and hang in there the pigmentation can get worse and due to sun sensitivity from th ecream u think u have made the biggest mistake and made it worse yourself - just relax - its a sign of it doing its thing. Firts few weeks i had rapidly worsening pigmentation and new patches all over - now i struggle to find any at all.

Retin A great but i use ilotycin A which is under $10 - go with the cream its spreads way easier and u use much less to get nice coverage and its the same strength as the gel.

and dont play with over the counter stuff unless u like the fragrance because they are designed not to work or you would only use it once :}

Re: Hyper pigmentation

after using the entire bottles of meladerm, lancome blanc expert, isa knox whitissimo, and countless of other whitening lines, they didn't do anything for lightening. almost sick how much i've spent on these products.

recently i tried fair & flawless and that seemed to work in the first week in terms of lightening but then i broke out horribly in cystic acne. you might fare better with it. i'm currently just beginning to try HQ 4% and waiting for retin a to arrive.

Red face Re: Hyper pigmentation

Just like you Jessica, I spend thousand dollars to clear my pigmentations but none of them works so far. I am a new member and try to read the information about different products used by all of us suffering with the same problem. I decide to use HQ4% and retin a, but haven't started yet as I am waiting to see my doctor on the week end. I really like this sit. I got so much information. I was also considering using meladerm before but not anymore. I really wish this combination will work for me as I am trying to find solution from last ten years. Thanks to all for your true opinions.

Re: Hyper pigmentation

[QUOTE=caribcutie;27364 It does not burn the skin and you will not peel like a snake. LOL! Try this with the 4% hydroquinone and Retin A 0.04% and you should notice a difference in a short space of time. I noticed a difference in a week. I know everyone's skin is different, but it's worth trying.[/QUOTE]

dont tell people that a Lactic peel cant burn the skin because it can.I'm using Lactic peels for some months(25% and 30%) and only keeping for 3 to 5 minutes but I have already had a litle area burned (It tooked me one week to heel)and I dont use Retin A.Acid peels are funtastic but they have risks.
