You are correct that a product that doesn't work for one person might work for another. How long did you use the Nur before seeing final results? Their ads make ridiculous claims (dramatic depigmentation in just a few weeks) with clearly faked before and after photos of Indian women who were brown but turned completely chalk white. THAT is what proves the ads false. Plus, they do not lisst their so-called secret ingredients like other more ethical companies do. It is not worth risking wasting money esp in this economy, when there are products with scientifically proven (not just self-proclaimed & vague testimonials) track records. The Nur ads on ebay show 'testimonials' from cluents thanking them for their fast delivery. Nobody has proven the product does what it claims it does! |

Jazeera70: you are correct! I was not commenting against the right to an opinion, it is just that many of these companies send reps here to promote their products. This has happened with Nur before. Their site does not explain what is in the product nor does it say how it works. It is also very expensive. These features are the hallmarks of a scam. People here are mostly sincere & simply want something effective, safe & reasonably priced. Too many of us have been ripped off by companies who make big promises but fail to deliver. This product has consistantly failed many people here.

They don't even reveal the contents of the product nor even list the active ingredients on their packaging or on their weebsite. That says it all.

It would be interesting if someone who claims that it works, would chart their progress, and update with "actual" before and after pics. Also, I'm afraid to use any product that does not reveal ingredients. There is too much that can go wrong with your skin, by using "experimental" products on it. I am not saying that people shouldn't use it, but I know I wouldn't feel comfortable using something that I could not readily identify the ingredients.

Did you ever notice that 99.9% of those who show up here claiming to have used this gunk & gotten 'good results' all have the same kinds of screen names? They ALL sound related or connected to eachother & the people shown promoting the gunk on their website? The same is true for the people like 'Sahliha' who, despite having read all the reasoned critique in the above posts, say "I've bought some & I'll let you know my results?" Watch for this person in a week or 2. S/he'll be back claiming to look like Rachel MacAdams (heehee). All their 'blemishes' marks' & 'spots' (terms meaning nothing, really) will be gone & they'll have been proposed to by a rich guy OR they'll have been chased by Aishwarya Rai.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm done with this thread. |

Hiya
I am new to this thread...so would like to say hi to everone!
just over 2 weeks ago i purchased nur76 for the reason to reduce scarring.
i have always been told and i know that purchasing skincare products for acne or scarring is dangerous and a money making scheme. yet despite this. i still went ahead with the purchase.
i purchased the system in which you have to apply serum, cream, then sunblock. i found this to be alot of products to place onto the skin. however follwing the procedures i felt the products were not too bad on my skin. although everytime i wear the sunblock, there is an instant whitness which takes a looooong time to absorb. probabaly doesnt obsorb untill you sweat!
after 2 weeks on...i have felt there has been no difference on the skin. and i feel my skin has broke out in little pimples. i do have acne prone skin and have had extreme bad acne in the past...so i do know a thing or two about skincare!
i feel perhaps i need to continue using this product and give it a chance.
these small pimples that have appeared have got me very paranoid. i am fasting at the moment and really and truly been having decent foods and drinking plenty of water. i feel this product is causing this outbreak....however like i said i will give it a chance....
but is there really anything out there to help get rid of or reduce hyperpigmentation, scarring etc....?whast the best thing one can do?
i have also used meladerm!....previous to nur76......and that is huuuuuuuuge waste of time...it did nothing whatsoever for my skin....it didnt make it worse...but it did not make it better!
cant wait to hear a response!

Sue? For what: telling the truth?
Bobby: please read all the posts throughout the skin lightening forum re this product. It doesn't work & many people saw worsening break-outs from it. There are effective choices out there but not this stuff.

whoever it is that threatened to sue seems very ignorant and uneducated. You cannot sue an open public discussion forum on the internet because people are sharing their results/disappointments with nur76.

That's right, LNL. Sue random people for talking? Gimme a break! Anyone who could promote a sham product is by definition ignorant & uneducated. Despite how many degrees they may have, they are oblivious to the damage they cause, ignorant of the feelings of other people & ethically uneducated. Like people led by their 'gonads', these people are led by their avarice.

ondine:
I have stopped using nur76 ...i can definately say i had a small breakout...and continuing it would have led to a bigger one!...im thoroughly disappointed that this product is perhaps more of a money making scheme rather than providing a skincare solution.
suffering from severe acne in the past, i was prescribed roaccutane...a highly controversial drug but it changed my life...i know that using too many products on the face can be a dangerous thing....i feel that nur76 is asking people to use too many products on thier face which can only clog pores...how can your skin breathe when you have three types of skin products on your face...it can only lead to a breakout...and the sunblock gives the impression of lighter skin...
people please dont give into the photos on the website...i am myself darker in colour, but i can very EASILY make my photos appear that i am light skinned....its just too easy
i have seen all the interviews and it just seems they are talking about the issue of skin lightening...but they do not really discuss if the damn product works!
i recently went to a private dermatoligist...its a company called 'skin'...you can looked it up in google...its a private clinic. i went to the milton keyens branch...i asked him if there are any treatments to get rid of scarring, marks etc...he said himself...let me make this point clear....he said there is nothing that can get rid of scarring etc....its a process that takes time to clear...it will eventually clear but 'time' is the key factor.
its so sad soo many people are being fooled....and i know that i have been fooled myself... ....never again....

you know I agree with that- time does it, although I help speed up time with the dermabrassions. I know I keep saying it, but by golly it sure does work for me! time means that the cells have time to heal and then fall off. Well my skin does not shed as it is supposed to with time. Then I get a "zit" factory on my face no matter how I scrub- and no matter with what I scrub, the only thing that has visibly helped my facial scarring is dermabrassion, getting rid of those damaged cells. But that is my skin, and everybody is different- the age old saying comes to mind....What works for you, may not work for me!
