I have to use a concealer to even it out.

Don't know if this would be relevant to AA women wanting to lighten in the most extreme way - as in, NO pigment whatsoever - not especially a good look really. For reference, I am light/medium golden color normally, and the undereye area is palest white.
Ahh, yeah that would look dreadful on AA women that have even a mid complexion..thats what makes me wanna peek @ mono. I worry i will never be able to party on te beach without hiding under an umbrella..

Fawnie, that was very interesting. I didn't know a thing about co2 laser surgery until you popped in. This might very well be something of use to AA people seeking to do extreme lightening, but I see it as really helping already quite fair Asians going for that white look that is so popular in the East. I prefer golden tones too. Sometimes AA features do not suit white or too pale skin in the same way that my caucasian features did not suit my too dark for them skin.

Ninasky, I actually prefer your soft feminine chinline to the elongated pointy one on that actress (or singer..or whatever). Soon, you will have that skin tone too & I bet you'll look fantastic. The lighter brown tone you've achieved looks 100% natural, not bleachy & 'forced' & so even too!

Eternal, what tone are you aiming for? You look very fair already: you remind me of the many Bombay women in my area.

The laser you guys may be talking about may be this laser q-switched ruby. Its supposed to be okay to use on african american skin and it lightens! I'm doing more research, I need to see someone else do it before I do the laser, buy maybe on day I will

I want to lighten up to about Reshmi Ghosh or Sade Adu's complexion, but that's not me in the photo though. That's Reshmi Ghosh and Indian model/actress, I had found out about her awhile back because people kept saying I look alot like her so I wanted to know who she was. So, my complexion is similar to Toni Braxton's. What is the number of shades I would need to get to have a similar tone to my avatar's pic, or even Sade or Beyonce would be really good too.

Can the laser lighten the whole body or at least some parts of the bosy? Or does it just lighten the face?

I love Toni! She is so beautiful..Beyonce's shade would be gorgeous on Reshmi's features also.., Beyonce's complexion always looks fab wether its winter and she is more pale or vacatioing and has tanned a lot.. I hope to be able to reach that even tone while maintaining a healthy glow too... Here is a pic of Toni (L) and Tamar (R).. i think this is a good example of two level 7 are basically the same complexion but undertones can make them look quite different.. Toni being olive and Tamar being red tone.( thats m guess, im just learning myself so i could be wrong) Anyhow, good luck on your goal. We all be here cheering you on**

Thanks PinkMoscato! I hope your goal complexion works very well for you too. Is the yellow undertone the same as the olive undertone? That is more my tone. I hope to successfully reach and maintain that shade as well. So they are a level seven? Can you tell me what level do you think Reshmi and Beyonce are on the chart?

So far I've only heard of this laser lightenening small sections of the body like hands, feet, neck but not full body but if can lighten these areas than I'm sure it can do full body. There just needs to be a market for it and most people want to spot lighten, not full body lighten so the best thing is to find someone who utilizes this laser for spot treatment and inquire about full body. You definately want to make sure its someone either certified or for me, I like to have a doctor doing anything laser.

The cost in full body is probably rediculous and the main reason why I'm not currently looking too much into this.I'm okay with my results from what I use now

PinkMoscato: My guess was level 5 also, but maybe even between a 5 and a 6, like a
5.5, since Reshmi is a bit darker than Aishwarya Rai...I'm not too sure for Beyonce these days, her complexion seems to constantly change..

Laydanielle: Yeah, I would prefer an MD to do something like this. Do you think it will cause hyperpigmentation if large parts of the body is used with the laser treatment?

This is an interesting chart. What is the difference between the red and olive tones?

I have a little of yellow and some red in my skin - which is why I gave up on buying foundation and wearing makeup.

High yellow, two tone on other parts!! had to stop and concentrate on the darker areas instead.

Arms and back are proving to be abit stubborn. I look like a amber traffic light at the front, but the back of me is a little slow on the uptake lol

Long baths rather than showers I find are really helping. Gonna book a full body scrub next month and then go for a couple of sauna sessions to see if it helps.

yes but it will take you a while though and you have to constantly have HQ 4% on and exfoliate with RA/manually frequently

after refining my compounding skills and using 10% and arbutin 10% i was able to achieve a more uniform even tone. as you can also see my lips are much darker at the moment.

Once i achieve my desired tone, then i will post more pics. sorry about the blurriness it was due to cropping/enlarging.

What do you think?
Ninasky,

How long did it take for you to achieve this transformation?

I realize that you are not at your goal BUT this is a heck of a start/ progress.

I have heard so many great things about the HQ4% & RA procedure...
I wanted to know if I can a chieve 'Ninasky' results w/ HQ 4 % & RA alone.

I am also using another product for lightening & acne scars(ingrd. hq & arb).

My desired goal is somewhere in the vincitity of my avatar pic.

Please advise.
