I have another question abt HQ. Some say to use it only in the evening and others tell to use it also in the morning without R-A. Now I am a bit confused..What option is best?

A truly great moisturizer that lives up to the epitome of moisturizers is Xtendlife, here it is Age-defense active day cream. Our sweetheart Lexi introduced the forum to this moisturizer and she had me convinced. I purchased the one for men and it leaves ur skin deeply hydrated without leaving you oily or greasy or any other side effect. There are many reviews under the Xtendlife thread at the anti-aging department.

In the original post I notice that the one skin type not mentioned is the fair, thin, sensitive type. I really wish there was more information on regimens for my type of skin.

I believe It just takes longer for some to adapt to it than other's. I know of a woman who it took 13 months to 'retinize' her skin. So I am remaining persistent with my regimen. About the buffering with moisturizer thing, do you think B5 hydrating serum coupled with Clinique dramatically different would work well?

Dont use Retin-A, you said you have sensitive skin and you are still irritated, Use Differin which is another form of retin-a, a retinoid, which was SPECIALLY formulated for sensitive skin and yields much of the same results since it is in the trio category of the retinoid family - taz/differin/retin-a. If you are not convinced in using Differin then use
EITHER RETINOL or RETINALHYDE
The best products containing retinol:
- SkinMedica Retinol Complex
- Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream
- Neutrogena Healthy Skin Intensive Serum
- RoC Retinol Correxion
- DDF Energizing Moisturizer
The best products containing retinaldehyde:
- Avene Ystheal Gel
- Avene Diacneal (excellent product, combines 6% AHA and 0.1% retinaldehyde. It penetrates deep within the skin due to the AHA as well as inhibits melanin well).
- Avene Eulage
- Avene Retrinal (very gentle, great for beginners. Comes in 3 strengths. Highly recommended.)
If it took that woman 13 years to retinize her skin then I am sorry but she wasted her time, 13 months is a long time to stick with a product for its benefits, usually you can tell within MAX 3 to 6 months of use if its right for you, thats what doctors say, if I were her I would've used or found something else such as Retinol or Retinaldehyde nad use extra antioxidant protection during the day to maximize its benefits. Even though RA is an amazing drug, there are other products out there in the vast market that with the right research will yield great measurable results.

| I am definitely going to consider differin. Till then I will continue to use the Tazorac and small amounts of retin-a, maybe retin-a micro. I think you misread my post. I did not say 13 years, I said 13 months. She said once she adapted at around month 14 her skin looked beautiful and as nice as it did when she was a teenager. She showed me before/after pictures too.

Just giving you a warning though, Taz is not any less irritating than Retin-A, if your skin cant tolerate RA then it wont tolerate Taz which is stronger according to dermatologists. If you skin gets really irritated, red, and looks very dull DONT FORCE RA and Taz on it, discontinue use.

| Thank you for your concern, what I find confusing is all the conflicting reports about how taz is less irritating for some than retin-a and vice versa for others. People tell me to just try it out for myself and see, so I will and if taz causes more irritation than the retin-a I will stop it immediately. By the way, if you do not mind me asking, what is your skin type and how old are you?

I ordered my Green Cream today. I can't wait to get started and have learned so much in the past week. I thought I saw a thread started (or ongoing) for links to information, but I may be mistaken. I don't think it was broken down into categories of any kind, just links.

After researching the DIY recipes here mon09 I think I have found a good one that is homemade by a seller on ebay. I started a thread about it last week. The last thing I am waiting to find out is the PH level in it... I may have to test it when I get it. In the future I will probably start making my own but that is DISTANT future when I have more time and am more organized. There are some good recipes here for it.
