im just saying i found retin- more helpful than tca.

I am using the TCA to take off years of brown gunk from sun damage and yes when it peels the brown gunk off I look whiter. I may have to do it one more time but it is taking most of it off.

also LEXI - when did you use retin a after the peel? like four five days later or something ?Pleasee respond to my questions ....

lol all hyperpigmentation long gone since spring but thx mate.

ps: i should have used lightening agent for 4 weeks PRE-peel, to prevent PIH, but i am against most lighteners, go figure. so it was my own fault.

Just started to peel so as for lasting can't say, but be sure to find a very VERY strong sunblock.

MUAC also. I bought about 6 20z bottles which turn out to be 12 1oz they do not send 2oz, they seem not to have them. It hurts like hell. Pre-treating with retin-a and 50% glycolic helps A LOT. I did 15 minutes of head to toe 50% glycolic each time before a peel wherever I was peeling. I also was using 20%AHA daily and retin .1% leading up to my peels.

At the times of peels I also combined jessner on areas of deep discolouration.

JUST FYI--buy a bottle or two rather, then in days they usually send you a code for a 20% d/c (I also started a thread on here look it up it may show the current code for d/c it is "DOES ANYONE HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE FOR MUAC)

Guesswhoiam---yes I too am ONLY now about 5 weeks later able to go out and not look like I have leprosy. I have some DE-pigmented areas but with continued retin-a the surrounding areas peeled and have been successively whiter. I am now whiter than my niece who is less than a year old, I am SO white people ask me if I am bleaching. I have actually added some colour to myself so I do not appear albino (self-tanners) THAT is how white I turned. I do still have some pigment issues on my stomach and decolletage especially and slightly on my back (which was REAL hard to do).

My suggestion again, after all the pre-treatment I would use an eyeliner pencil and DRAW lines where you want to treat. My mistake was NOT doing that at first and as a result had to redo an arm as I panicked that I was frosting TOO long and it burned like nothing I felt in my life so I just neutralised too quick ALL the arm. Now I just do one part at a time. The downside is that it hurts and you are in a lot of pain as you go down. But it has made me look REALLY white and clear skinned (freckles gone, all pigment gone!).
