and no it's not just your imagination! All that time there was hydroquinone 3% right around the corner from me for $7.99 and I never thought to use it!
From your expeirence does Nadinola reach a point where it stops working? I'm hoping it doesn't because I'm loving the results.
| I have that same question too. After all this hard work I don't want to end up like this again. |

I like that it doesn't make you feel greasy like most moisturizers do.
It says oil-free but it leaves you greasy after an hour.

I'm thinking of trying this Nadinola soon as well since it has 3%. What else can I use along with it to help lighten my body other than the retin-a?
But what confuses me is that is contains 3%, but only 2% is allowed to be sold OTC? So, how were they able to do this?

re: your post to Live1 I agree..sometimes it could be a particular brand. I had some HQ in the 90s from my aesthetician (it came in a dark brown plastic tube) that was fire. lol. i was scared of the stuff. That's what I need now for my outer arms. | what do u mean by litebrite? does it make you too light, or like a pale color? Just wondering cuz im thinking of purchasing..along with hq4%

Generic food is not the same as generic HQ. It's the chemical concentration that renders it effective. Using both won't speed up the process. You might as well use the 4% 3x instead of using Nadinola as well. I've been using the generic 4% HQ for my lightening & it works as well as the name brand product I'd tried previously. If you are responding better now, you must have successfully exfoliated away much of the superficial dead skin & your treatment product is absorbing better. Many people like the authentic black soap (it isn't truly black but mottled looking). The 'fake' ones contain dyes that leak out when you use the soap & they are jet black. The Likas works well for me in so far as leaving me with a clean slate.
Congratulations on your results so far. What kind of undertone is emerging now? I remember you mentioning something in another thread about red tones...

| Using both wouldn't speed up the process...
but alternating them would gear the same results, right?
Ordering HQ online is convenient for myself personally, but what's better than running to your local walgreens and picking up a couple batches of something just as effective
no shipping costs |

It isn't quite as effective. This is why derms prescribe HQ4% but not Nadinola. Also, the Nadinola costs much miore in the long run. True that shipping from ADC is high but when you buy in bulk, it works out to approx $4 per tube when averaged out. That is 1/2 the cost of Nadinola. I do get your point, though & GoddessOfEarth got some really great results using this & Carotein cream (an exfoliating cream).

| Just too light, IMO,...my face and neck were getting close to the color of my breasts & midsection.
Because of sundamage/random tanning (and melasma which is nearly gone) I've got several different colors going on from head to toe.
At this point, my outer arms are a deep dark caramel, torso & legs have a gradation of medium caramel to 'low yellow' on my unexposed areas...with milk chocolate(?) elbows and knees.
Since I don't plan to have those private lighter areas in public view, I'm trying to get everything else medium caramel and not veer into the 'low yellow' zone aka 'litebrite', IMO..range on my exposed areas.
This is just an intermediate phase. I've sorta got other plans later involving self-tanners, beer & b-complex vits.
I just want to get through this part of the work first. ...prepare the canvas....It's like bleaching stained or spotty fabric to prepare it for using Rit dye. LOL!
Feel free to call me crazy, i don't mind. I won't be doing any actual sun tho. I can't go through this dance again.

Was nanidola a quick lightener for you or a gradual one?

I wouldn't say that it's super quick but with the peels it was effective. It's gradual..sort of sneaks up on you. lol!
yes, i'd like be to at least Chilli's color range more than T-Boz
.. but only sunless tho. I tried getting the results i wanted with the sun and ended up a huge mess esp after pregnancies and melasma.
Ideally, once I'm as even as possible, i could find ways to darken it all evenly without the sun? I'm not 100 % sure what's possible with the colors I prefer (besides Chilli, I like the color range of model Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi )
Maybe I'll get a life by the time my sundamage is gone and I won't be as obsessed but for now those are my ideals.

| Hey if your looking for true black soap and I'm talking about the real thing, you can find it at coastalscentsdotcom. From what remember it wasn't too much and it last for some time. Beware though this stuff is strong and I find it to be a little irritating at times, but it does leave the skin silky smooth!!

There's a big difference between name brands & generics when it comes to food. When it comes to most pharmaceuticals, the generics must be chemically identical. I've gotten excellent & natural looking results with ADC's HQ/RA. The 50% glycolic many people swear by was like fire for my skin. I didn't slam it because it simply wasn't right for me personally. For many others, it's an excellent choice. Live1, do pay attention to safety info you read here. Bio Claire might 'work' but that depends on how you define 'work'. If you want lightening WITH dangerous ingredients that thin the skin badly causing permanent stretchmarks, premature aging & discolouration, then go for the steroid creams. If you want even natural looking & safe lightening, it may take a little more patience & testing, but be patient: there's something on here that'll work for you.
