Okay, I've added Nadinola to my regimen (update)

I can officially say that I am lighter. About 2 shades or a bit more.

I added Nadinola extra strength which has hydroquinone 3% from my local pharmacy. And I"m still using the ADC hydroquionone 4%

I also bought Othine that EggoMini uses. It smells and looks just like Nadinola to me. I haven't used it yet. When I run out of my Nadinola I'll start using it

I'm thinking its the Nadinola that speeding up the process. My mother said that I looked lighter, and she warned me taht I'll end up "looking like Michael Jackson" so I must be getting significant results. I wasn't sure until my mother told me this. She doesn't really like it when I bleach but I'm an adult and I'm going to do what makes me happy

Also, I stopped using the Obagi cleanser, and I bought some pure Black African soap from the beauty supply. When I started using the Black soap, I noticed that I was getting better results. It's like the black soap allows the cream to penetrate the skin better. With the Obagi cleanser, I felt that it had an ingredient in it that wasn't allowing what I was using to penetrate my skin that good for it to work to its maximum potential

I also thought that I should stop bleaching because my hands are starting to look significantly darker than my face. I haven't been religiously applying the lightening cream to my hands. And I don't really have enough to use it all over. I'm torn. I've been putting the nadionola on my hands so it can catch up with my face.

congrats Darkskingirl on your progress. how long have you been using nandilona? i agree, natural black soap is gentle and yet it helps skin products to penetrate better and even the skin tone

They're made by the same company..the extra strength nad and othine both supposedly have just 3% HQ.. it's crazy because they work better for me than the supposed 4% in the ADC. too weird!

congrats, tho! i'm glad that it's effective for you too and it's not just my imagination! i actually used the Othine and glycolic peels to pull myself out of the orange phase (from my hq/ra attempt) before my new F&F items arrived.

maybe it is the extra moisture factor? i think LnL mentioned that as a possibility?

I'm just glad that it works and it's pretty easy to find!

EgooMini, if you used ADC's HQ 4% with a super hydrating, creamy rich moistruizer, you would get better results than your Othine.

Yeah, maybe it is. I noticed that while nadinola helps to lighten it also moisturizes the skin. At first I didn't think a cream so greasy could work but it defintely does. it doesn't clog my pores either.

and no it's not just your imagination! All that time there was hydroquinone 3% right around the corner from me for $7.99 and I never thought to use it!

From your expeirence does Nadinola reach a point where it stops working? I'm hoping it doesn't because I'm loving the results.

I bought mine from a local beauty supply store. It might be a local brand, but its just called "100% Natural Black soap" and on the package it says it "heals and nourishes the skin". I bought the one that has no fragrances. it is not the most attractive looking bar of soap, its dark brown, and it looks rough. but it feels, works and smells much better than it looks. It penetrates the skin so good, and works up an excellent lather. It was only $2.

It took awhile. I've been using it since around Sept/October. But the Nadinola really helped even more. You could try that Nadinola with the hydroquinone 3% if ADC isn't working for you.

I see that you have "hq/ra sucks" in your posts...but RA/HQ does work but its the strength and type of HQ that matters. Its not good to just slam a certain method because it hasn't worked for you. I recommended you try Nadinola or Fair and White. leave bio claire alone. I used that and it will give you acne and whiteheads/blackheads.

Live, many memebers have suggested different things you could try but you are still slamming hq/ra. Why don't you just TRY something new instead of complaining about what you're currently doing that isn't working.

ADC is a generic brand. Sometimes generic brands of any kind can have weaker ingredients. Just like generic cheerios don't taste as good as name brand cheerios

Maybe you need to try a different brand of HQ by another company, maybe the ingredients in it will work better for your skin. It might be more potent, stronger, etc

are you very new to skin lightening because you seem very naive? Most people know that differnt skin lightening products have different strengths and some work more effectively than others. Doesn't mean that HQ itself doesn't work at all

I'm not sure if there's a wall or plateau with Nad.... I've had to stop using it several times because I was going too 'litebrite' for my tastes.

However, I am going to start using it regularly on my outer arms.

re: your post to Live1 I agree..sometimes it could be a particular brand. I had some HQ in the 90s from my aesthetician (it came in a dark brown plastic tube) that was fire. lol. i was scared of the stuff. That's what I need now for my outer arms.
