ok so a little update on my routine my beloved obagi face wash has finished so for the time being i use philosophy purity with some vit c powder sprinkled on the face brush and use that

Second for the last 2 weeks i have been using a homemade face mask i use a licorice Glycyrrhiza glabra face mask i mix a teaspoon of the powder into the palm of my hand and mix with water i apply this to damp skin and massage it into the skin and really work it in it turns sort of creamy and i really cover the skin with this
once it gets tacky and stiff i then leave it to sit on the skin for 30-60 mins then rinse off WELL

If any of you experience any irritation from retin a or anything else you must try this Glycyrrhiza glabra has anti-inflammatory properties

Glabridin is a potent skin whitening agent. It helps re-balance dermal cells and decreases melanin formation (the pigment responsible for skin discoloration).

Hey sticky, i finally saw it. omg. very interesting and effective. but i was wondering, if the peel works, may be the rest of the products work as well. they all promise great results after 2 weeks. they also a body lotion, a toner, and a soap. ahave you tried them?

i saw initial lightening after 2 weeks but as you can see in the pictures its not like i was complete at 2 weeks i did include pictures at different stages

I have been using if for 5 or 6 weeks now will have to check and i would say im at 95%

Im only intrested in using the maxipeel or the other solutions i saw another range for older skin for lightening but thats all as i have other skincare i will be using

Did the maxipeel provide you with even lighter skin after you peeled? Would you suggest it for body use?

I want to give it a try after my carotein is up!

hey lovesoul yes maxipeel def will continue to lighten you even after you have peeled

i went to a party yesterday and the amount of oooohing and ahhhing over my skin was crazy the moment i stepped in EVERYONE kept asking me omg your skin looks amazing its like its glowing or something what makeup do you have on what are you using lool
I wasnt wearing makeup so it felt good

When your lighteing your skin and you only have yourself as a guide your mind starts playing tricks on you and sometimes your like huh i swear im the same shade as the days go on you just get used to your new skin shade

...until that is random people want to touch your skin at a party

Stickhoney, from all the posts it seems you have achieved great results... I have indian/paksitani skin and I used to be naturally fair.. liek my legs are still light-fair but my face has become olive-medium tone. I would like to get at least 3 shades lighter, but havent had luck yet. i tried diana stadler whcih didnt do anything noticeable. i asked dermatologist and they told me not to use any peels or anything. they pretty much said its better to stay how ur skin is right now then to mess it up. so i was a little worried

*clears throat* Prob cus im not considered a forum ''vet'' i have noticed on this forum in particular people need to wait till certain members give products them the seal of approval before they even consider it this is MY opinion just saying lol

I looove this product i wish i tried it sooner but i was afraid to as i didnt know any black women or men that had used it

I did see the reviews on the acne forum though but that wasnt enough so i decided to jump the bullet and get it over with

I personally would have loved to have seen a black woman do a before and after thread like im doing as i always hear people raving about products but never put up any pics

The downside to this product is that it is drying so you will need to prepare yourself for that and the skin peeling which i found intense GOW have a pure hlyaronic acid serum that i think would go great with this especially when you dont want to layer on a ton of moisturising products

When i get some cash i hope to add that product in!!

I dont know why the Dr said not to use any peels unless you have a medical reason not to...

Most people on here use hydroquione retin a lactic acid peels

Kojic acid can work well on some skin tones but it can be a bit hit and miss with actual lightening i think more people see brightening with it which isnt a bad thing

However if you are against using HQ then i would look into that ingredient

Im in the UK so heat is not a problem for me looool but if you are then you may find trying to skin lighten a struggle expecially with HQ

you will need a excellent sunscreen la poche rosay bioderma or netrogena (helioplex)

yeah my face was significantly darker than the rest of me completely different undertones and everything

I have a few bottles left so for now i just trying to go easy with what i have

I could prob use lactic peel for my body but my knees inner thighs elbows will need maxipeel

Im hoping to start on the body areas by march

I dont have medical problems of any kind than a pimple here and there which i get rid of with tretinoin... I went to the dermatologist for my eye circles (which she told me there was nothing she could do about them) and while I was there, I showed her my legs, which are 3 - 4 shades lighter than my face and arms. She even put her own arm by my leg and they were the same color (even though she was a caucasian).

I asked her if there was anything I could use to make my face the same color as my legs. She staright said to me that I dont know how MJ made his skin white :s.. I said to her I dont want to be MJ, all I want is my face color to be the same as my legs.. and she said its better for you to leave it how it is than to mess it up and please dont use any chemical peels as they leave patches and are risky :s.. so it was a waste of time and money for me to visit that dermatologist as she was no help at all!!!!

I also visited a male dermatologist who also told me to just be happy with how I am right now.. I dont knwo which dermatologists everyone else visists who give them precriptions for HQ etc and provide them some treatment for lightening :-s

My other question is that I searched the internet for Maxi peel yesterday and I basically learned that it helps to exfoliate the skin and gets rid of acne etc.. However, if it exfoliates the skin than how do you get lighter? I mean ur skin color is the same inside out.. the most you can probably get is get rid of old dull layer of skin and get a brighter layer to show up... how can you lighten so much though??
sorry I am just curious...

At the end... again I am Pakistani/Indian skin tone... would you recommend that I use maxi peel? do you think I can lighten a couple shades in 3 weeks?

Maxi peel contains retin a 0.025 and hydroquinone 4% hydroquione basically prevents skin from making the substance responsible for skin color this is what makes you lighter
retin a works so well with hydroquione by getting rid of old skin ceLls and increasing collagen giving you a plumper young looking skin

If you look on the first page you will see i provided a makeup link and you will see the shade i am which is chesnut this was my skin colour exactly which is prob much darker than you are now so yes maxi peel worked for me

If your skin is sensitive or thin then no maxi peel is not for you as i can see it being to strong for that type of skin

3 weeks is a short amount of time although my title says 2 weeks as i said before my skin was not done and dusted in this time it still took weeks after for my overall skintone to improve and etc etc

the reason why i started mine in winter although the increase of cold makes the skin drier i prefer to use it now rather than summer when i plan to be out and about
retin a will make your skin go through weeks of looking worse before it looks better its best you are prepared for this
