Does Mequinol permanently and lighten the skin evenly??? - Page 2

I am going to try using mequinol with retin-a with a little bit of alpha arbutin mixed in? Alpha arbutin definately works, but it does not seem to permanent, I want something permanent. Mequinol is supposed to depig you but still let you tan. Don't ever use mono, your skin is going to be destroyed. If you want mequinol, you can buy it from me whenever I buy it, which is going to very, very soon.

what percent of mequinol are u using? and how long did it take u to lighten? would u be able to send me ur b4 n after pics. im serious about using mequinol. i just hope theres a derm in the u.s that will give me 5 to 10%

where r u buying it from??? n what is the concentration of mequinol ur going to use??

I just bought it, I haven't started using it yet, it will ship here soon. I plan on using 20% with tretinoin, and also adding some 20% alpha arbutin with it, because I hear mequinol first darkens your skin then it permanently lightens it. My skin is lighteing already with alpha arbutin so I will go down to a 20% concentration, to keep it up and then add 20% mequinol and some tretinoin for absorption. Why I want to use mequinol is because alpha arbutin does not seem to be permanent, you will eventually go back to normal skin tone. I will use it and tell you'll how it works, and you can buy it from me, if it works well!! I won't lie. I already sold someone alpha arbutin, I brought mequinol from a chemical company.

20% tretinion where are you buying this from? mequinol does not permanently lighten the skin. It is NOT a permanent depigmentation agent. The ONLY permanent depig agent is monobenzone, and take it from someone who used mono you dont want to go their, it will mess you up Bigtime.

I am not going to do 20% tretinoin, less than .1 probably, .o25% but mequinol doesn't permanently lighten skin, darn it I thought it did, that's the only reason I bought it, what does it do??

Here is an article on depigmentation, and it seems to me that mequinol is like monobenzene except no patches and you can still get tanned. So I would also think it's permanent, or semi-permanent, since you can still get tanned.

Depigmentation is the lightening of the skin, or loss of pigment. Depigmentation of the skin can be caused by a number of local and systemic conditions. The pigment loss can be partial (injury to the skin) or complete (caused by vitiligo). It can be temporary (from tinea versicolor) or permanent (from albinism).

Most commonly, depigmentation of the skin is linked to people born with vitiligo,which produces differing areas of light and dark skin. These individuals, if they so decided to use a lightening process to even out their skin tone, could apply a topical cream containing the organic compound monobenzone to lessen the remaining pigment. The brand drug incorporating 20% monobenzone is Benoquin, made by ICN.

Increasingly, people who are not afflicted with the vitiligo experiment with lower concentrations of monobenzone creams in the hope of lightening their skin tone evenly. An alternate method of lightening is to use the chemical mequinol over an extended period of time. Both monobenzone and mequinol produce dramatic skin whitening, but react very differently. Mequinol leaves the skin looking extremely pale. However, tanning is still possible. Monobenzone applied topically completely removes pigment in the long term and vigorous sun-safety must to be adhered to for life to avoid severe sun burn and melanomas. People using monobenzone without previously having vitiligo do so because standard products containing hydroquinone or other lightening agents are not effective for their skin and due to price and active ingredient strength.
