TCA Number 2 and Nadinola Question

Just did my TCA application (12.5%). The first is talked about here. I'll keep this one short. It hurt soooooo bad! So bad! My thoughts were "holy ----, holy ---- HOLY INSERT YOUR WORD OF CHOICE, OMG!" I'm still getting acquainted with the new neck skin from my first round and it is a weak thing comparatively! I didn't realize how thick my previous hide was until just now. It's still thick enough that glutathione soap does nothing for it, but 2 layers of TCA! See previous!!

Ironically, my face handled 2 layers like a champ, but that's probably because the first time around I accidentally put on 3 layers.

Oh, well!

So here are my questions!

I've been applying Nadinola for the past three weeks, do I continue to apply my Nadinola on the TCA'd skin, or do I wait until the layers have peeled away?

If I have to wait, how long after peeling do I wait to apply Nadinola again?

Does retin-A burn half as badly as TCA? Because my new skin (from the neck up) is a wimp! My body could take it, but the rest of me:

I shudder to think.

Can I put vaseline on my neck and wrap it in plastic wrap, or should I just stick with what I did last time? (Which would be apply a lot of Burt's Bees res-q ointment on the TCA'd areas and wrap my neck in a soft scarf).

hey hun i cant answer all the questions but i dont think applying anything to the peeled skin is going to work well until its all sloughed off.

Keep some ointment on it the first 24-48 hours then just wait for it to peel. If it gets super itchy ( my neck sure did ) use some oil. Emu works best.

The skin has been shedding slowly but surely. Thus far the revealed skin is only a few shades off from the color of my face. The first peel I did, the skin that was revealed ended up darkening by two shades within a week. It was still way lighter than what I started, but this time around I've been applying Nadinola to the exposed skin as a (hopeful) preventative.

I have one before picture for my neck, and next month/towards the end of this month (or whenever my neck clears) I will post an after picture. Once I get my neck down I will focus on a few other tough spots and over all lightening, and for that I will keep a blog.

Okay! Most of the dead skin has peeled off and I now have roughly two shades to go before my neck is even toned!

can you guys inform me on what you mean by i applied 2 "layers" do you mean you applied two coats of the TCA

Yes put on one layer wait the 5 minutes then put another layer over that wait 5 more minutes

Yes, what Goatlady said. I had to wait more than five minutes this time around- it hurt! My neck is/was really my biggest problem area, and now that it's looking better I won't be needing the TCA. Instead I'll be switching to retin-a.
