Pimple Bump

Hello,

I come seeking advice on removing what I think is a scar.

Nearly two years ago, I developed two ordinary pimples on my nose. In hindsight, It appears I did all the wrong things when it came to managing pimples - i forcibly squeezed them. I now have two bumps of uniform skin colour on my nose. Both sit proud of my skin level, and therefore, are easily noticed under sunlight and clear optics.

If anybody has had similar, I would be dancing to hear what they have done to remove them. i.e. Bio-oil etc...

Cheers,
Will

Hi Will - I would go to your dermatologist for these two spots. I had to have a similar type of bump removed from my nose a few years ago. The derm called it a flesh colored mole. There is no way I could have removed it with the tools/resources I had at hand.

Okay,

I do not fully understand the anatomy of this growth, but surely there must be something out there (like chemical peels) that would remove it. In your words, you are dscribing it as a "flesh coloured mole"; this sounds different to what I have. Mine is a slight (less than 2mm) elevation of the skin. It is not directy visible, only under certain lights and angles.

Any help is much appreciated.

You should have it checked out, to make sure it is not cancerous. I thought my spot on my nose was remnants of a zit, but the derm called it something different. If it has been 2 years - you really need to see a derm. You honestly don't know what is causing the spots.

I have tried using a dremel + stone wheel at high speed would remove it. What i've noticed is that it grows back to the same shape no matter how much skin you remove.

will i would be careful in touching something on your own. my father has this non colored flesh growth on his nose, and the doctor said it be very dangerous to touch. who would of figured. it just looks like extra skin in a bump form.

Hi wills,

it seems we have a similar problem, i had the same thing but on my chin, basically it could either be elastolysis, where your elastin fibres have ruptured or hypertrophic scarring, which means too much collagen is used by the skin when it goes to heal the wound. the problem with collagen disorders is that when you try to get rid of it eg by a laser, the skin uses the same wound-healing process to heal where the laser was and again creates too much collagen, hence, the problem comes back.! I have just been through that by forking out an arm and a leg for surgery and no improvement! however i am determined to find an answer so please do contact me if you want to discuss this further!

Are you serious u used a dremel on your nose? I actually had exactly the same thing, a very small, only noticeable in certain lighting bump left by a spot on my nose from around 3/4 years ago... Since i have been using retin-a and exfoliating it has almost gone and become level with surrounding skin...

I have some irish blood in me. I get these "whiteish" spots that are slightly raised. My dermatologist said they're because I'm fair skinned. He called them something but I don't remember. But it made me feel better he wasn't concerned. But yes, if you're worried...go to a doctor.

maybe copper peptides would work theyre good for hardcore scar revision and skin remodelling. but use with caution!

One of the most common homemade treatments for acne scars is a honey mask. It's cheap and 100 percent natural. It's also incredibly easy to use. If you have many acne scars on your face, cover the entire area with honey and leave for an hour. Honey is moisturizing. It's great for people with dry skin. If you have oily or combination skin, add a little bit of lemon juice to the honey. Lemon juice is also good for treating acne scars, but unlike honey, it dries your skin. People with sensitive skin shouldn't use a honey mask more often than once a fortnight.

To those who have tried or are thinking of trying to use a dremel to remove that acne scar: DO NOT do it! But don't feel too stupid if you did already. I to used my dremel to remove one from my forehead and guess what! It was nice and flat while it was healing and then The lil faulker grew back!! I'm going to the dermatologist to see what can be done and will repost with positive results and solution for you all...hopefully!
